I wonder what they were really talking about
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's six nights in New York featured a secret sit-down with militant minister Louis Farrakhan, heckling in a hotel bar, and a fear of being rubbed out that bordered on paranoia.
The president shared a hush-hush meal with Farrakhan and members of the New Black Panther Party Tuesday at the Warwick Hotel on West 54th Street.
The meeting of the podium smackers took place in a banquet room, where the fiery leaders presumably exchanged theories on what's wrong with the world.Read more:

The Grand Jihad
Yeah. Been gone for a bit. Going to Grandson's football game, playing poker (yes, that's what poker players do)and doing diverse and sundry things preparing for winter.
I also purchased McCarthy's, "The Grand Jihad."
I urge you to read it and then give a copy to a Leftie. I figure 1 out of 100 will be educated and change. Even if not, they will have been exposed to some facts.

Honest!
Here's a picture of the new world record whitetail. It was taken by the cousin of a co-worker's sister's, uncle's, best friend's, son-in-law's, niece's hairdresser's, neighbor's ex-boyfriend's oldest nephew. Reportedly it will score 2603-1/8 by B&C standard and was shot in West Texas on a really windy day, 85 degrees downhill, around a curve at 900 yards with a 22 mag. Supposedly, this deer had killed a Brahma bull, two Land Rovers and six Jehovah's Witnesses in the last two weeks alone. They said it was winning a fight with Bigfoot when it was shot. It had also been confirmed that the buck had been seen drinking discharge water from a nuclear power plant.
This has been checked on Snopes where it was confirmed. Honest!!!

When Truth takes the day off
The following was written by the Progressive blogger, James Bouie, in the Amerian Prospect.
The subject is the book, "The American Taliban," by Moultisas of KOS. Bouie makes the correct argument the overheated attacks on the Right by the Progressives is self defeating. He makes several obvious comparisons:
Now, it's true that certain tendencies on the American right have analogues in fundamentalist Islam; for example, and as Moulitsas points out in his chapter on sex, right-wing conservatives share a hatred of pornography with fundamentalist Iranian authorities. Of course the similarities end there; conservatives boycott pornography, Iran punishes it with death.
But, this gets to the huge, glaring problem with American Taliban; ultimately, any similarities are vastly outweighed by incredibly important distinctions and vast differences of degree. I'm no fan of the right wing, but the only possible way it can be "indistinguishable" from the Taliban is if conservatives are stoning women for adultery, stalking elementary schools to throw acid in girls' faces, and generally enforcing fundamentalist religious law with torture and wanton violence. The chapter on women becomes a joke when you realize that Moulitsas can't distinguish between the odiousness of right-wing sexism and the vicious amorality of permanently disfiguring "immodest" women. Likewise, there are magnitudes of difference between executing gays (the Taliban) and opposing a hate-crimes bill (Republicans).
He also makes this rather obvious observation on truthfulness:
Now, to be sure, American Taliban is clearly meant for activist consumption. Unlike myself, Moulitsas isn't a journalist, and his job isn't to be an honest broker for ideas; no, it's to rally progressives and score points against conservatives.
When even fellow progressives can see what the Lefties are doing you would think they would catch a clue.
But they won't. They think winning is more important than the truth and demonstrate it daily, if not hourly.

Jock Arrests
For most American men, this time of year means the kickoff of NFL training camp — the start of the New Year on the couch-potato sports calendar. But for me it’s a sad time. It’s the end of Arrest Season.
In terms of jock crime sprees, no other stretch rivals late June and July. Why? For one thing both the NHL and NBA seasons have come to an end, unleashing on places like Vegas, Atlanta, and Miami a torrent of millionaire Slavic and Scandinavian power drinkers and seven-foot NBA jism-spewing machines, all with eight months of rigorous dieting and physical training to undo.
Before you go out and start committing crimes, it’s important to first make sure you’re at least slightly better than the 30 or 40 guys the team’s assistant GM could instantly pull off some practice squad to replace you. Otherwise you will become fodder for the team’s zero-tolerance discipline policy.

Obama defines himself
President Obama removed the reference to the "Creator" from the Declaration of Independence when he quoted a portion at a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Congress.
Obama said, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
But the the actual quotation is:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Now no one should be surprised. I mean it is who he is, a product of a Leftie dominated culture influenced by Black Liberation Theology and out right Marxists.

Germany has a Freedom Party and Liberals are frightened
An in interesting article sent to me by reader Larry P.
The thrust seems to be that the Right in Europe is gaining strength based on anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim feelings that have developed in Europe over the past years.
The article appears to blame the poor economy causing this. That may be a small factor. But I would say that riots in France, crime in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden (in particular) coupled with demands for Sharia law courts have finally tipped the scales.
Europe has long since been a reliable forecaster of issues coming to the US. From communism to the Nazis and the so called social democrats (in various flavors) that destroyed much of western Europe and England our so-called elites have loved to lecture us on how miserable we are as compared to anything Europe.
We have similar problems in the US. A small number of Muslims, the GZ Imam is an example, seem determined, aided by our own government officials, to force Sharia law and recognition down our throats.
Of course the lame stream media has assured us that the GZ Imam is just of so moderate. They ignore his threats of violence if anyone violates Sharia Law and burns a Koran. They ignore his blaming America for the 9/11 attacks. They ignore his comments that America has blood on its hand.
Some moderate, eh?
Now we find out that the GZ Iman has a Muslim buddy named Kahn who is a "9/11 Truther." That's people who claim 9/11 was an "inside job" and cuts bin Ladin and al Qaida loose.
Well, if the Europeans are starting to wonder, maybe we will start to wonder.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Few people outside of Germany paid much attention when a little-known Berlin politician named Rene Stadtkewitz convened a news conference last week and announced the formation of a new "Freedom" party.
But in the German capital, the founding of a movement modelled on the anti-immigrant party of Dutch populist Geert Wilders was a small political earthquake, whose tremors resonated in Chancellor Angela Merkel's office across town.
"Right now we are focussed on building up this new party in Berlin, but if we have success here, I certainly can't rule out extending it nationwide," Stadtkewitz, who was kicked out of Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) for his views, told Reuters.
The 45-year-old from the east Berlin district of Pankow, who wants headscarves banned, mosques shuttered and state welfare payments to Muslims cut, is the newest face of a powerful anti-immigrant strain in European politics that is winning over voters and throwing mainstream politicians onto the defensive.
Parties with xenophobic-tinged programmes are not new in Europe. The National Front of Jean-Marie Le Pen has been a force in France for years, as has the Northern League, which is part of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's ruling coalition in Italy.
But experts say public concerns about immigration have grown in the wake of the economic crisis and politicians across Europe are scrambling like never before to exploit these fears, breaking unwritten post-war taboos along the way.
"What we are witnessing is not a new trend, but a deepening and acceleration of something that was in place," said Dominique Moisi of the French Institute for International Relations (Ifri) in Paris. "These politicians are playing with fire, because feelings on this issue run very deep and may not disappear when the economy recovers."
THE END OF TOLERANCE
Wilders, who wants to ban the Koran and expel Muslims who commit crimes, has emerged in the span of a few months as arguably the most powerful politician in the Netherlands.
After an inconclusive June election, centre-right parties are relying on Wilders to form a minority government that could give him major sway over policy. If this coalition fails to come together and a new election is held, polls show his Freedom Party (PVV) would be the top vote getter.
In France, President Nicolas Sarkozy has taken pre-emptive action to prevent similar gains for the far-right National Front, announcing a crackdown on Roma people and criminals of foreign origin that has earned him rebukes from a United Nations human rights body and the European Parliament.
In Italy, which received the most immigrants of any EU country last year, Umberto Bossi's Northern League has wielded huge influence over domestic policy, pushing through tough laws that allow authorities to fine and imprison illegal immigrants, and even punish people who provide them with shelter.
Heather Grabbe, director of the Open Society Institute in Brussels, says more European politicians are realising that by focussing on immigration, they can tap into voter fears about a range of issues -- from the economy and jobs, to globalisation, change and an increasingly uncertain future.
"People in Europe have grown comfortable in the decades since World War Two and now they see that level of comfort threatened," Grabbe said. "The result is that tolerance is no longer held dear as a European value, even in countries that used to be proud of being open and liberal."
UPSETTING THE SYSTEM
One such country is Sweden, where an anti-immigrant party looks poised to vault the four percent hurdle in a September 19 election and enter parliament for the first time.
Inspired by the Danish People's Party, the Sweden Democrats have shed their skinhead image in favour of smart suits and a carefully calibrated message that emphasises support for Israel and women's rights alongside what party leader Jimmie Akesson describes as a "common sense" aversion to Muslim immigration.
If the party does make it into parliament, it could deprive centre-right Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt of a majority and force him to consider working with a party he has described as "right-wing, xenophobic and populist".
In Germany, where the collective memory of the Nazis has limited the influence of far-right parties, the emergence of a new anti-immigrant force could have even more serious implications for the political system.
The rise of the new Left party and Greens in recent decades means that six parties now sit in the federal parliament in Berlin, a splintering that has severely complicated the formation of stable coalitions at the federal level.
Were a seventh party, led by Stadtkewitz or a more high-profile anti-immigrant crusader, to make it above the five percent threshold and enter the Bundestag it would shake Germany's political landscape to the core.
"The danger is there," said Manfred Guellner, head of the Forsa polling group, pointing to the strong public support for disgraced Bundesbanker Thilo Sarrazin's disparaging criticisms of Muslim immigrants in a recent book which warned of the demise of traditional German society.
"There is a loss of trust in the established parties, a sort of vacuum, that a charismatic person similar to (former Austrian far-right leader Joerg) Haider could fill." The President lectures us to not get angry over 9/11
Well the radical Muslim apologists are out, lead by the Cat Food President this morning at the site of the Pentagon attack. He spoke of “we are” and such and such and lectured us to not challenge such things as the GZ mosque.
Instead, he says, the nation will resist "those who sought to divide and demoralize us." "We will stay true to our traditions at home, as a diverse and tolerant nation," he says. "We will not give in to their hatred," Obama said, despite the terrorists' efforts to spark conflicts among faiths. "

He said not one word about our rights and our history and why we should never tolerate the building of a monument to the radical Muslims at the site of their despicable attack on people whose crimes were being at work in the World Trade Center. In short, the radicals must be allowed to tell us what to do.
Now as he and the other apologists blather and gather around their Dear Leader and claim that 9/11 and all of this is our fault…….

I think it is worthwhile mentioning that, whether you remember it or not, we were in a very real, very nasty “Cold War” with the Soviets. And that the friends and shipmates of mine who died were just as dead as their uncles and fathers who died in WWII and Korea.
And while the Shah was a dictator and had his secret police, his radical Muslim replacements are dictators and have their religious police.
Do you actually believe that more people were tortured/killed under the Shah than under the religious fanatics that replaced him? And do you understand that, at least, under the Shah we had some influence and were pushing his government towards democracy?
Do you remember it was Carter whose failure to support the Shah created modern day radical Muslims and their terrorism supporting states?
Do you understand that we used Iraq to keep Iran from taking control of the oil in the Iraq and then the SA peninsula? Would you have preferred we let Iran have control of what was then a huge percentage of the world’s oil supplies? Or would you have preferred we used our military, and perhaps nuclear weapons, to stop the Iranians?
Maybe we should not have given the Taliban weapons to defend themselves against the Soviets and bleed the Evil Empire a bit. But I seem to remember we were weak and actually had “trip wire” divisions in Europe that were expected to fight and die when the Soviet’s attacked while we brought up reinforcements.
Do you remember that it was our refusal to go along with the English that allowed Egypt to survive as an independent country? How much did Kosovo cost us and how many Muslim lives were saved? Do you know we were in Lebanon on a peace keeping mission?
And have you forgotten that Israel was attacked by its Muslim neighbors within hours of its independence? Are you aware that none of the Muslim neighbors have ever been willing to accept immigrants? Do you know that in the negotiations set up by Clinton between Israel and the PLO, Israel gave the PLO 90% of what they wanted? And yet the PLO walked away?
BTW – Can you show me a Palestinian coin?
Have you read that it was Saddam who claimed the right to invade Kuwait and threaten Saudi Arabia over his desire to have more oil and more control over the west? And that after agreeing to the terms of his defeat how he kept violating them? How he corrupted the “oil for peace” UN officials and starved his nation’s children?
How he gassed his own people and how he violated the weapons agreements, rattled his sword and, we now know, planned to get back into the WMD business as soon as possible?
Did we cause Munich? The Rome Airport? The highjacked TWA flight? The 'Achille Lauro'? WTC in ’93? USS Cole? The attempt at blowing up LAX? The German nightclub? Pan Am 103? Was it our lack of a vigorish response to these attacks on the west that caused 9/11?
Monday morning quarterbacking is fine but it is always helpful to remember that the QB’s choices were limited and that maybe throwing a 60 yard interception was better than taking a sack on his own 20 yard line. At least in the first case the defense had a chance to make a play or two.
Now we have benched the football players in favor of letting the cheerleaders meet with the other side.
Based on Ft Hood, the underwear bomber and the Times Square attempt I would say that is not working out very well. Hopey changey has not imptressed the killers.
But at least we are being taught to apologize. Serfs and slaves do that a lot. I think the President wants us to get use to that.

The 9/11 Jumpers
I had flown into town the night before for a business meeting the next day. The meeting was not to start until around 10:30. I spent the night in a hotel that featured a free breakfast.
I wandered down for breakfast and noticed a room half full. Everyone was watching the big screen TV. At first I thought it was a movie and then I realized it was not.
The world changed before my eyes and before breakfast.
We never know what we will wake up to.

New Slogans for the Left
Watching our so-called "elites" and "leaders," and unfortunately that includes some who I once thought were worthy.. I'll start and end my "use to be" list with O'Reilly...
I am always amazed at how the Left continually attacks Christians but never mention being threatened by radical Muslims.
Why, it was only days ago when the GZ mosque Imam told us it had better be done right or else......
I think all the Lefties need to buy prayer rugs.
Remember the "Better Red than dead" chant? Lefties need to find one that fits their surrender to the radical Muslims.

An answer to Average Muslim's, "We don't hate you."
The following is an answer to a post on the “We don’t hate you” website. It is from a self-identified “Average Muslim.” The Average Muslim’s comments are in italics. My response is in plain text.
Dear America... We don't hate you, and we don't hate your way of life.
This is quick note to clear up some confusion. It seems like lately one cannot watch the news, or read a newspaper without reading about the threat of "the Islamist agenda".
In that case, give the GZ mosque Imam a call and tell him to quit pushing what millions of us see as a monument to the radical Muslims who killed 3000 or so Americans on 9/11 by killing the flight crews, hijacking airliners and flying them into the twin towers while screaming, “God is great!”
I mean it would be a help if your Imam would just shut up about it. We don’t want to be consoled, reached out to or patted on the head.
Got that?
I am a Muslim, and the big agenda on my mind today was if i should get my wife an iPhone or an iPad for her birthday.
Well, the big agenda for many today is where they will have the memorial service for Daddy on Saturday. I mean since his body was completely destroyed there was nothing to bury and little “Suzy,” who is 13 now, keeps having dreams that Daddy is still alive and burning.
Her screams wake her, and the rest of the family almost every night.
Lack of closure is a problem for many when a loved one dies.
It may be hard to believe when you follow the news, but consider this:
Today, hundreds of thousands more Muslim teenagers woke up worried about their teenage acne, than those who woke up pondering terrorism;
Today, hundreds of thousands more men woke up pondering if if Liverpool would ever win the Premiership again, than did woke up pondering "the downfall of the west";
Today, hundreds of thousands more muslims woke up and wanted the new iPhone 4, than did woke up wanting some sort of WMD.
We really are regular folk. We like walks on the beach, and pretty sunsets. We enjoy reading good books, drinking good coffee and the company of good friends. We hope that our kids graduate well, are well mannered and we sometimes don't call our moms back as soon as we should. Our moms feel proud when we do well, and they have hopes and dreams for us too. Our dads spend hours on the sports page and our kid sisters hit us up for money whenever they can.
For hundreds of years, we have been happily working side by side in society. We are builders, bankers, students, scientists, janitors, presidents and teachers. We still serve in militaries around the world and we are firemen and policemen and protect and serve. We sing the national anthems of our countries and blew Vuvuzelas when our countries played in the World Cup. We just happen to pray differently.
First of all, no. You have not been here, at least in any number that attracted attention, for hundreds of years. As a group you are a recent addition and as a group you have insisted on drawing attention to yourselves by demanding special facilities and rules at public schools, not transporting legal passengers in public transport and, among other things, dressing so that it would be impossible to identify you in case there was a crime involved. (I could continue but I won’t.)
And yes, you do pray differently. No problem there. But this stuff of demanding special prayer rooms at work and at airports, as well as the GZ mosque, bothers people.
The basis of all of these demands is your religious law, Sharia.
Look at it like this. We don’t have a bunch of Christians in Mecca demanding they be allowed to build a church.
In the meantime you demand tolerance.
Tolerance goes both ways. You want respect? Then give respect.
Sure we feel bad when cartoons insult our revered figures, but we feel even worse when it spurs violent (really un-Islamic) protests. There are more than a billion Muslims in the world today, and a veritable handful who react with violence. Surely you must see that this isn't representative of us all? We don't look at the Abu Ghraib fiasco and assume that all Americans torture people at the drop of a hat. Many of us still serve in the US Armed Forces!
Glad you mentioned Abu Ghraib. First, the US Army was in full investigation mode before it hit the New York Times. That’s how we do things. Secondly, can you name me Muslim people and/or organizations that is/are/were seriously looking for the killers of Daniel Pearl??
There is a small group amongst the Muslims who are violent extremists, and there are a small group of hawks who need a new bogeyman. Let's not let them define the world for the rest of us.
Well, in today’s connected world, define “small.” WMD’s are real. And the last person to use chemical weapons was Saddam.
Now we know that every Muslim is not a radical. I mean, in spite of the attacks/plots before and after 9/11 in the US and around the world, the FBI says the incidence of hate crime attacks against Muslim is the smallest of any group.
Have you considered that?
And have you considered that maybe it is time to quit yelling that we do things your way? I mean you came here, yet you appear to be determined to bring all of your past with you.
Why is that?
Did you come here to be an American or did you come here to find a better economy and to be allowed to do what you want to do, irrespective of what the rest of us think?
Our national motto is, “In God we trust,” and “Out of many, one.” You claim to believe the former but your actions show you don’t believe in the latter.
The sad truth is that a bunch of guys burning cars is always more newsworthy than a bunch of guys handing in their TPS reports, but trust me, the latter happens many more times per hour by guys like me all over the world, just going about our business.. just like you..

The sad truth is that the so-called Moderate Muslims are letting this happen because they are not taking action. If the Muslim world actually condemns honor killings, let it stop them. If the Muslim world condemns stoning, let it stop the barbaric practice. If the Muslim world condemns lashings, beheadings, forced marriages, no schooling for females……let it stop them.
Let the Moderates step up and take control of their world. Stop the riots and killing when a cartoon is published. Quit the threatening and screaming “I’m insulted.”
In other words, when you have removed the mote from your eye, come back and see me.

Muslims and progressives and insults and rights
The question is not whether or not burning Korans, or any book, is “smart.”
The question is whether or not our Florida preacher should be allowed to do it.
The answer is yes. It is wrong but it is his right.
The question is not whether or not Muslims will riot, threaten to riot and protest and claim they are “insulted.”
The question is should we care.
The answer is no.
The question is not whether or not the Koran burning will increase hatred against our troops.
The answer is yes.
Many in the Muslim world population, driven by the extremists among them, and much like the political correctness gurus within the US, are professional “insultees.”
And the Muslim extremists use this as a weapon against us.
The way to take that weapon away from them is to say, “We don’t care.”
Does anyone actually believe that forbidding the burning of Korans will stop the Taliban? Stop al-Qaida?
The answer is no.
And isn’t the question, why are we in Afghanistan and Iraq?
In Iraq it was thought that a well developed country had WMD’s. It was later determined they did not, or else they had hidden/shipped them someplace. But what was found was the will to reinstitute programs to develop nuclear weapons and chemical/biological. (Remember Saddam had rockets capable of delivery.)
We went through Iraq’s military almost without pause. But the mission was changed to “nation building.”
Have we been successful? The answer is still out but what we are seeing as Obama withdraws our troops is more violence. I would give the odds of a successful conclusion at 50-50.
In Afghanistan we had a country of tribes living at around the 10th century level outside the major cities and, perhaps, late 19th century in the major cities.
Having fallen under the control of the Taliban they harbored bin Ladin and allowed him, and al Qaida, to piece together an attack on 9/11.
We could discuss who was responsible for the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, etc., but we know they happened because of radical Muslims, so who cares what flavor?
So we went to Afghanistan to take down the Taliban and capture bin Ladin. We had fair success with the former but bin Ladin fled into Pakistan.
We reduced our efforts in Afghanistan while concentrating on Iraq but we are now back. Our glorious leader has told the Taliban we will be leaving next year and guess what.
The enemy sees victory in his grasp and is killing Americans to keep the pressure up. Vietnam redux.
I have never seen anything as stupid as Obama’s statement. He made it to satisfy his Leftie base and it is now killing US soldiers.
So the question of can we “nation build” in Afghanistan is already answered. We cannot. Obama surrendered when he said what he said.
Now we have an extremist Muslim using unknown financing and mouthing hateful statements about America claiming his right to build a mosque at ground zero. And the people who faint at the thought of a manger with a doll representing baby Jesus on a shopping mall’s parking lot and demand clerks be fired for wishing them “Merry Christmas” are shouting that they must be allowed to do so because they have religious freedom.
Now we have a preacher who wants to burn Korans.
And the same people who support the Muslim Imam attack the preacher.
That is hypocritical.
And the claim is that Muslims will riot and kill and our troops will be in danger. Some even go so far as to claim that we will be more in danger of attack within the US.
Folks, if you buy this excuse and condemn the preacher there is a word that describes what you have done.
Surrender.
You have been intimidated into accepting Sharia law which condemns burning the Koran.
Our military goes in harm’s way not to protect themselves, but to protect us and to insure that our rights are not infringed.
Is the preacher doing what he should not do? Yes.
Is the Ground Zero mosque builder doing what he should not do? Yes.
Two wrongs do not make a Right. And sometimes we have to decide which one is the lesser of two evils.

The progressive Urban Partnership Bank... say who??
A few pages down I posted a long post on Shore Bank and its storied associations with the same old players.
Now Shore Bank has folded and we find that a "new" group of investors have rushed froward. The name? "Urban Partnership."
David Vitale, a former First Chicago Corp. senior executive, helped line up a group of investors that immediately bought $1.54 billion of ShoreBank's deposits, most of its $2.14 billion in assets and 15 branches from the FDIC. Other investors in Urban Partnership Bank include Goldman Sachs Group Inc., J. P. Morgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp., American Express Co., Harris N.A., State Farm Insurance Cos., Wells Fargo & Co., the Ford Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Mr. Vitale is now chairman of Urban Partnership Bank, which aims to continue ShoreBank's mission of three decades: lending to low-income urban neighborhoods.
A number of investors, including those who are currently backing Urban Partnership Bank, tried to bail out ShoreBank earlier this year. The move was heavily criticized by some politicians who claimed that President Barack Obama's ties to the Hyde Park-based ShoreBank encouraged Wall Street lenders to help bail it out.

Stop the presses! This just in: The Associated Press “standards center” has issued a “staff advisory” on covering what is to be known from here on out as “the New York City mosque.” From now on, the AP “staff” – and, therefore, everybody who still actually reads newspapers that still actually use the wire service’s copy – is supposed to conform to what amounts to the Muslim Brotherhood narrative about the Islamic cultural center formerly known as the “Ground Zero mosque.”
This is disgusting. And it is typical reframing of the debate by changing the name.
AP’s Deputy Managing Editor for Standards and Production, Tom Kent, sent this “guidance” out to his colleagues yesterday, with inputs from Chad Roedemeier in the New York bureau and Terry Hunt in Washington: “We should continue to avoid the phrase ‘Ground Zero mosque’ or ‘mosque at Ground Zero’ on all platforms. (We’ve very rarely used this wording, except in slugs, though we sometimes see other news sources using the term.) The site of the proposed Islamic center and mosque is not at Ground Zero, but two blocks away in a busy commercial area. We should continue to say it’s “near” Ground Zero, or two blocks away.”
Interestingly, among those who formerly used the now-proscribed descriptor “Ground Zero mosque” is none other than Feisal Abdul Rauf, its imam and chief promoter. He called it that even though the proposed venue has always been two blocks away from the World Trade Center site.
Perhaps Rauf used this moniker because his planned location for the mosque was part of the real estate attacked and damaged on 9/11 – the home of the Burlington Coat Factory until it was struck by a landing gear from a plane that struck one of the Twin Towers. Perhaps he used that term to brand his “Cordoba House” because body parts from the victims of those attacks have been found all over Lower Manhattan, including the old Burlington factory area, making it part of the hallowed ground.
Or perhaps, Imam Rauf called his project the Ground Zero mosque because he wanted to associate his 15-story, $100 million complex as closely as possible to the location where nearly 3,000 Americans and other innocent people – precisely because they were murdered there by people who wanted, as he does, to “bring shariah to America.”
The last explanation would certainly conform to the triumphalist past practice of adherents to shariah, the barbaric, totalitarian political program that masquerades as a religion. Indeed, there is a tradition of constructing mosques at the site of previous Islamic conquests for example in Jerusalem, Istanbul and Cordoba, Spain. (See www.NoMosqueAtGroundZero.com). Yes, it was for Cordoba – where a Catholic church was converted into the world’s third largest mosque by the Moorish conquerors of Spain – that Rauf wanted initially to name his Ground Zero mosque.

Progressive school system fires Nashville teacher
The song linked to was written by Bryan Glover, a teacher in Nashville who also coaches Middle School football. He was, the educational bureaucrats in Nashville claim, fired not for his views but because he used the database of the parents of the players to email them the song from his computer at his home on his time.
It is usual that when you have a child in football email is used to announce practice times, schedule times, etc. In fact, sometimes to sell such things as equipment. Yes, high school football has equipment provided. The lower grades do not.
Now, I ask you. Was what he did a firable offense? I think not.
But then I am not a Progressive Teacher angered over someone criticizing The Cat Food President, aka Obamie.
Anyway, here's the song. And I hope Bryan will sue the heck out of the school.

Why Progressives never condemn radical Muslims and support their efforst to get Sharia Law installed in the west
As I wander the Internet I notice a strange thing.
Lefties, aka Progressives, are always attacking America and Christianity. My country wrong or wrong and the Crusades are the fault of America and the reason why the radical Muslims attack us.
Given that, in too many places, stoning females, hanging gays and honor killings are happening, you would think anyone who wears "tolerance" and "religious rights" like a cloak would find time to condemn such actions.
But they don't.
At first I decided that the reason was that Progressives hate Amereica's culture. Thus "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" explanation covers it. But it goes deeper than religion and culture.

An Islamic conference in the Spanish city of Granada has called on Muslims around the world to help bring about the end of the capitalist system.
The call came at a conference titled 'Islam in Europe' attended by about 2,000 Muslims.
Earlier this week Granada saw the first official opening of a mosque in Spain for more than 500 years.
The keynote speaker at the conference was Umar Ibrahim Vadillo, leader of the worldwide Muslim group known as Murabitun.
The group is strongly opposed to capitalism.
Mr Vadillo said America's economic interests had become the religion of the world and that people slavishly adjusted their lifestyles to suit the capitalist model.
But he said capitalism cannot sustain itself and is bound to collapse.

Can you imagine what would have happened if this man had been carrying a sign that said, "Impeach Bush?"
This would have been on the front page of the New York Times, Washington Post and all the other papers in the major cities.
In addition it would led the news on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC. Olbermann would have devoted a show to it.

On piety and such things
One Sunday morning, an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin.. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn-out old hat and an equally worn, dog-eared Bible.
The church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old cowboy had ever seen. The people of the congregation were all dressed with expensive clothes and fine jewelry. As the cowboy took a seat, the others moved away from him. No one greeted, spoke to, or welcomed him. They were all appalled by his appearance and did not attempt to hide it.
As the old cowboy was leaving the church, the preacher approached him and asked the cowboy to do him a favor. "Before you come back in here again, have a talk with God and ask him what he thinks would be appropriate attire for worship in church." The old cowboy assured the preacher he would.
The next Sunday, he showed back up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt, boots, and hat. Once again he was completely shunned and ignored. The preacher approached the cowboy and said, "I thought I asked you to speak to God before you came back to our church."
"I did," replied the old cowboy.
"And what was his reply?" asked the preacher.
"Well, sir, God told me that he didn't have a clue what I should wear. He said he'd never been in this church."

Shore Bank
The following was sent to me by Larry P. It is a tale of greed and crime being foisted upon the American public.
I quote the entire article, with a link to the source at the end.
This is an interesting story put together from various articles and TV shows by the British Times paper. It shows what Obama and his friends are
really all about. It's not hope and change, it is money.
I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The
second part connects all the dots for you (it will open your eyes). The
end explains how Obama and all his cronies will end up as multi-billionaires.
(It's definitely worth the read. You will not be disappointed).
A small bank in Chicago called SHORE BANK almost went bankrupt
during the recession. The bank made a profit on its foreign micro-loans (see
below) but had lost money in sub-prime mortgages in the US. It was facing
likely closure by federal regulators. However, because the bank's executives
were well connected with members of the Obama Administration, a private
rescue bailout was arranged. The bank's employees had donated money to
Obama's Senate campaign. In other words, Shore Bank was too politically
connected to be allowed to go under.
Shore Bank survived and invested in many "green" businesses
such as solar panel manufacturing. In fact, the bank was mentioned in one
of Obama's speeches during his election campaign because it subjected new
business borrowers to eco-litmus tests.
Prior to becoming President, Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE
FOUNDATION, a liberal charity. This foundation was originally established
by Joyce Kean's family which had accumulated millions of dollars in the
lumber industry. It mostly gave funds to hospitals but after her death in
1972, the foundation was taken over by radical environmentalists and
social justice extremists.
This JOYCE FOUNDATION, which is rumored to have assets of 8 billion
dollars, has now set up and funded, with a few partners, something called
the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE, known as CXX. It will be the exchange (like
the Chicago Grain Futures Market for agriculture) where Environmental
Carbon Credits are traded.
Under Obama's new bill, businesses in the future will be assessed a tax
on how much CO2 they produce (their Carbon Footprint) or in other words
how much they add to global warming. If a company produces less CO2 than
their allotted measured limit, they earn a Carbon Credit. This Carbon
Credit can be traded on the CXX exchange. Another company, which has gone
over their CO2 limit, can buy the Credit and "reduce" their
footprint and tax liability. It will be like trading shares on Wall Street.
Well, it was the same JOYCE FOUNDATION, along with some other private
partners and Wall Street firms that funded the bailout of Shore Bank.
The foundation is now one of the major shareholders. The bank has now
been designated to be the "banking arm" of the CHICAGO CLIMATE
EXCHANGE (CXX). In addition, Goldman Sachs has been contracted to run the
investment trading floor of the exchange.
So far so good; now the INTERESTING parts.
One Shore Bank co-founder, named Jan Piercy, was a Wellesley College
roommate of Hillary Clinton. Hillary and Bill Clinton have long supported
the bank and are small investors.
Another co-founder of Shore Bank, named Mary Houghton, was a friend of
Obama's late mother. Obama's mother worked on foreign MICRO-LOANS for the
Ford Foundation. She worked for the foundation with a guy called Geithner.
Yes, you guessed it. This man was the father of Tim Geithner, our present
Treasury Secretary, who failed to pay all his taxes for two years.
Another founder of Shore Bank was Ronald Grzywinski, a cohort and close
friend of Jimmy Carter.
The former Shore Bank Vice Chairman was a man called Bob Nash. He was
the deputy campaign manager of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid. He also
sat on the board of the Chicago Law School with Obama and Bill
Ayers, the former terrorist. Nash was also a member of Obama's White House
transition team.
(To jog your memories, Bill Ayers is a Professor at the University of
Illinois at Chicago. He founded the Weather Underground, a radical
revolutionary group that bombed buildings in the 60s and 70s. He had no remorse
for those who were killed, escaped jail on a technicality, and is still an
admitted Marxist).
When Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, he "funneled"
thousands of charity dollars to a guy named John Ayers, who runs a dubious
education fund. Yes, you guessed it. The brother of Bill Ayers, the terrorist.
Howard Stanback is a board member of Shore Bank. He is a former board
chairman of the Woods Foundation. Obama and Bill Ayers, the terrorist,
also sat on the board of the Woods Foundation. Stanback was formerly employed
by New Kenwood Inc. a real estate development company co-owned by Tony Rezko.
(You will remember that Tony Rezko was the guy who gave Obama an amazing
sweet deal on his new house. Years prior to this, the law firm of Davis,
Miner, Barnhill & Galland had represented Rezko's company and helped
him get more than 43 million dollars in government funding. Guess who
worked as a lawyer at the firm at the time. Yes, Barack Obama).
Adele Simmons, the Director of ShoreBank, is a close friend of Valerie
Jarrett, a White House senior advisor to Obama. Simmons and Jarrett also
sit on the board of a dubious Chicago Civic Organization.
Van Jones sits on the board of Shore Bank and is one the marketing
directors for "green" projects. He also holds a senior advisor position for black studies at Princeton University. You will remember that Mr.Van Jones was appointed by Obama in 2009 to be a Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House. He was forced to resign over past political activities, including the fact that he is a Marxist.
Al Gore was one of the smaller partners to originally help fund the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE. He also founded a company called Generation Investment Management (GIM) and registered it in London, England. GIM has close links to the UK-based Climate Exchange PLC, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange. This company trades Carbon Credits in Europe (just like CXX will do here) and its floor is run by Goldman Sachs.
Along with Gore, the other co-founder of GIM is Hank Paulson, the former
US Treasury Secretary and former CEO of Goldman Sachs. His wife, Wendy,
graduated from and is presently a Trustee of Wellesley College. Yes, the
same college that Hillary Clinton and Jan Piercy, a co-founder of Shore
Bank attended. (They are all friends).
Interesting? And now the closing...
Because many studies have been exposed as scientific nonsense, people
are slowly realizing that man-made global warming is nothing more than a
money-generating hoax. As a result, Obama is working feverishly to win
the race. He aims to push a Cap-and-Trade Carbon Tax Bill through Congress
and into law.
Obama knows he must get this passed before he loses his majority in
Congress in the November elections. Apart from Climate Change he will
"sell" this bill to the public as generating tax revenue to reduce
our debt. But, it will also make it impossible for US companies to compete
in world markets and drastically increase unemployment. In addition, energy
prices (home utility rates) will sky rocket.
But, here's the "KICKER" (THE MONEY TRAIL). If the bill passes, it is estimated that over 10 TRILLION dollars each year will be traded on the CXX exchange. At a commission rate of only 4 percent, the exchange would earn close to 400 billion dollars to split between its owners, all Obama cronies. At a 2 percent rate, Goldman Sachs
would also rake in 200 billion dollars each year.
But don't forget SHORE BANK. With 10 trillion dollars flowing though its accounts, the bank will earn close to 40 billion dollars in interest each year for its owners (more Obama cronies), without even breaking a sweat.
It is estimated Al Gore alone will probably rake in 15 billion dollars
just in the first year. Of course, Obama's "commissions" will be held in trust for him at the Joyce Foundation. They are estimated to be over 8 billion dollars by the time he leaves office in 2013, if the bill passes this year. Of course, these commissions will continue to be paid for the rest of his life.
Some financial experts think this will be the largest "scam" or "legal heist" in world history. Obama's cronies make the Mafia look like rank amateurs. They will make Bernie Madoff's fraud look like penny ante stuff.
