This one is funny!

You gotta see this.

My thanks to Grant M.

Hussein is not black.

I picked up the following from Pluck Jackson, posted by someone named hangemhi. I have copied all of it. My thanks to hangem.

Jack Wheeler is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan's strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness. For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informed. He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc. I think he is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything. He is also a somewhat well known mountain climber and adventurer.

Dr. Jack Wheeler Regarding Obama

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.

He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.

What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is 'African-American,' the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.

Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.

It's something Hillary doesn't understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of being white.

Thus Obama has become the white liberals' Christ, offering

absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no

arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.

Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain

Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American

Dr. Weeler's claim that Hussein is not really a black man has not been agreed to by the existing black civil rights organization, but they have noted that he does not have "slave blood" and that the struggle continues.

Democrats demean affrimative action

Of all the criticisms an apparently panicky Dem party has heaped on Sarah Palin in the hours since her selection was announced, Keith Boykin [bio] has come up with perhaps the unseemliest. The former aide to President Clinton has accused Palin of being an "affirmative action" pick.

Boykin, a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard Law, was debating the selection with Republican Joe Watkins at the end of MSNBC's 4 PM EDT hour. After some preliminary jousting, Boykin dropped his bomb.

KEITH BOYKIN Let me just say something about this choice. The reason why she doesn't help, quite frankly, is because it's an insult. It's an insult to women. I spoke to several women today at the Democratic National Convention who said it's insulting John McCain would pick somebody—an affirmative-action candidate basically—who is not qualified.

Now here I was thinking that affirmative action was a good thing. It gets minorities into the law schools, med schools, B schools, etc. where they don't have the money and grades and/or other problems to make it. It is good because it is helpful to society to have more minorities in such positions.

Yet we have this Democrat using affrimative action as a slur.... "candidate basically-who is not qualified."

And yet Hussein's minions want to call people who won't vote for him, a racist.

I just can't wait for the Left to attack Boykin. I mean I am sure his career is finished. (Sarcasm alert dear chums!)

My two cents on the Veep

I liked what I saw.

And based on the nasty personal attacks coming from the Lefties in blogs and forums you can tell that she strikes fear in their hearts. I consider that high praise.

Even better, she believes that ANWR is an oil field to be developed, not a paradise in waiting.

Good to have a candidate that knows that we are supposed to be good stewards of the earth, not worship it.

Hussein's Doctrine

Obama said if elected in November 2008 he would be willing to attack inside Pakistan with or without approval from the Pakistani government, a move that would likely cause anxiety in the already troubled region.

"If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will," Obama said.

Link

That is an act of war. It reminds me of this:

Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late. Trusting in the sanity and restraint of Saddam Hussein is not a strategy, and it is not an option.

Link

The difference is that Pakistan is an ally.

So the Hussein Doctrine.

Don't attack enemies. Do attack allies
.

I'm in a foul mood today.

I am sick of politics. After listening to bits and pieces of Clinton and Biden last night I felt ill. The truth they know not. And seeing that the race remains tied per Rasmussen, Americans have figured that out. It remains now for McCain to make his case after Hussein disgusts us all with his speech tonight from The Temple of Lost Elections.

I read that it can rise. I assume after Hussein has climbed the mountain to the temple the motors will silently evaluate him above the adoring minions. Those of the sore feet, blisters and heat stroke... Perhaps we will get to see Hussein raise the dead, or three, or at the least provide water and sun block for the thousands.

You think not? Aw, ye of little faith.

I am surprised that they didn't put up a wire system to the top of the south end zone and have him magically float to the temple's entrance. Of course given Denver's penchant for thunderstorms containing huge lightning discharges perhaps the thought of Hussein connected to two or so hundred feet of metal antenna gave them pause.

When I was young and in such a mood I would look forward to what I saw as better days. Old men don't have that luxury. Although we accuse the young of living for the moment we more senior types are guilty as well, even if the present contains a crick in the neck. It could be so much worse, and may be tomorrow.

I am a child of the Cold War. It defined my life as nothing else. I remember listening to the radio by my bed as the reporter described thousands of Chicom troops pouring across the board and killing Americans. Read that sentence again and note, "and killing Americans." In those days there was no difference in people's minds about "Americans" and "soldiers." They were one and the same.

I later listened to Sputnik beeping and heard Kennedy declare that he would fix the "missile gap." We now know there wasn't one and that Kennedy knew there wasn't one and also knew that Nixon couldn't dispute the claim because that would have revealed secret information.

But Kennedy was an honorable man.

If Bush used the "scare tactic" it was Kennedy who introduced it.

At the height of the Cold War I was dispatched to Moscow to solve some communication issues at the Consulate. Flying into Heathrow on Pan Am we were transferred over to Aeroflot via bus out to a loading area. It was about 5AM and foggy and raining. As we lined up and climbed aboard I noted the outline of the bomb bay doors on the belly of the plane, and as I found my seat I saw the navigation bubble from which the stars and sun could be shot for no electronic emission navigation during an attack.

Waste not, want not. Commercial airliner during peace, bomber during war.

I remember I wasn't impressed with the interior. The plastic didn't come together at the seams properly and it wasn't especially clean. My row partner introduced himself as a teacher who had been on holiday in England. He seemed delighted to meet an American and we had a spirited conversation about baseball, movies and books for about two hours, fueled by plenty of vodka and small servings of cheese and crackers. It was, I decided, after 5PM someplace and vodka eases not only conscience but pain.

Later I was asked about the trip and when I described my companion knowing nods were given and it was explained they "knew him." I didn't believe it then and don't now. But I get ahead of myself.

At takeoff the pilot went to the very end of the runway, locked the brakes and applied full power, removing the brakes just as the power reached maximum. It is sometimes called a short field take off and is also used for ground fire avoidance from insecure areas around the runway. We went up at a high angle of attack and I was hopeful that if he suddenly lost power the pilot was skilled in dropping the nose fast enough to keep us out of a stall.

Practice makes perfect. I wonder if the Brits air control cleared some space for us. But then air traffic wasn't what it is now.

After enough vodka I slipped off to sleep and slept soundly. I awoke to ear pain and immediately understood the pilot was doing a short field/ground fire avoidance landing which means you come down very fast. Think of an elevator.

He turned final just as we broke through the clouds and I saw two USAF C-130's in full battle paint parked near some buildings. I didn't know, but there was a joint agreement on flights bringing in embassy supplies, etc.

I'm glad I didn't turn to my companion and yell! "We won! We won!"

Norway and Islam and Homosexuals and the Left

During Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's lecture to the President of Columbia, a richly deserved one I add just because it was dumb to ever have invited him, he made the infamous statement that there were no homosexuals in Iran. The wags of the Right, noting the position Sharia law takes about the subject and known cases of Iran hanging gays, immediately said, "Of course. You kill them all."

The Left, as usual when criticism of the unacceptable ways of a Muslim country comes up, deafened us with their booming silence.

We now come to this from Norway.

Earlier this week the Islamic Council of Norway's met with SV's homo-network, where they spoke of homosexual Muslims in Norway. This is the first time the Islamic Council met with homosexual representatives to debate on this issue.

Two and half weeks ago the Children and Equality Minister, Anniken Huitfeldt, criticized the Islamic Council for not rejecting the death sentence against homosexuals. (..)

"We stress that the Islamic Council of Norway rejects the death sentence for homosexuals in Norway, but we don't want to go into legislation in other countries," says Kobilica.

But Norwegian Muslims don't need to reject the death sentence for homosexuals outside Norway?

"As said the Islamic Council can't get involved in how other countries are run."

I bring this up for two reasons.

First, I can't figure why any official of Norway would be having this discussion. Killing people for any reason, except for self defense, is undoubtedly illegal in Norway. I mean you don't discuss bank robbing with bank robbers.

That they would be having the conversation at all confirms what the wags of the Right said. Gays are killed.

Secondly, this again brings to light the hypocrites of the Left who continually criticize McCain, and Bush before him, for noting that there are things about Islamic states that should be criticized.

Perhaps our Demo candidate, Hussein of Chicago, should say, "Well, maybe as a precondition to meeting with Iran they could condemn the killing of gays." I mean it is a pretty simple thing to do.

That he won't speaks volumes.

Hussein and the temple of lost elections

When it was first announced that Hussein would make his acceptance speech at Invesco Field, it was said that Hussein wanted everyone possible to be there and share the experience.

I just assumed that a stand would be built on the 50 yard line, equal distance from both sides. Hussein would perform "in the round" and everyone could see and here him.

Silly old me.

As can be seen, Hussein is having a Greek or Roman, I am unsure which, temple built on the 50 yard line, but backed up against the stands. This means that everyone behind and to the sides will not be able to see him. This problem will extend to about half of the end zone on both ends.

In other words, half of the 77,000 expected will have to use the big screen monitors.

That is 38,000 people will have went through the hassle of going only to have to watch it on "TV." If that was me I would be mad as hell, and I expect a few of the attendees will be.

And they have every right. They will have been used. How they react to being used is their business. I would tell Hussein to piss off and vote for McCain.

But then I'm an American. And the Americans I know don't like to be crapped on by politicans of any stripe.

I just got push polled..

The phone rang about 8:30PM. I saw "Out of Area" on the Caller ID screen and the lady ID'd herself as a rep for a national research firm and asked if I would be willing to answer questions for a national poll.

Aw, I thought, Gallup has finally found me.

She started off asking questions about direction of the state, economy, Governor, was I registered, was I planning on voting, etc... all pretty straight forward questions.... Then the question came about the local election for state representative.

Would I vote for the conservative Democrat who walked on water or would I vote for the dastardly Republican who was only inches away from being jailed for being a horse thief who raised taxes four times.....

You may thing I overstate, but the Democrat could literally raise the dead. OK, OK, I know that's Husseins's job. And the Republician was a worthless cur.

I should have kept my mouth shut and seen if the next question would have been about the Senate race followed by the Presidential race. But I couldn't.

I demanded the name of the firm and after some confusion she said, "Cooper and Seacrest." The line went dead as if someone had pulled the plug.

Being a ROF I think I will do some calling tomorrow. I know the Democratic candidate and I'm going to tell him that any chance that he had ever had of getting my vote died when that call came in.

And I am going to ask him if he is for all the things the Republicans are for and against all the things the Democrats are for, which is what the lady said, why in the Hell is he running as a Democrat?

It probably won't do me any good but I will feel better and maybe he will feel worse.

Nashville Bureaucrats 1 - People 0

The Davidson County Election Commission just voted 3-2 not to put the English-only charter amendment on the Nov. 4 ballot.

The vote followed a unanimous decision to certify that enough signatures had been collected and verified in order for the measure to be eligible to appear on the ballot. But that vote may not be the final word.

Councilman Eric Crafton, one of the driving forces behind the ballot initiative, said a lawsuit is likely in the near future.

The room in which the commission cast its votes today was packed with about 40 onlookers, television, print and radio reporters, lawyers representing either side of the issue and private citizens.

At issue is whether the proposal constitutes too many amendments being proposed in a two-year period -- the city's charter limits the number. The group putting the issue forward wants all city business done in English.

The excuse given is obviously just a means to keep from letting the people vote.

So that we know, as if we didn't, who blocked it, a poster wrote:

vegas07 - It's a shame there isn't a place to write it on the ballot! By-the-way, it is the democrats that voted it down. The commission is made up of 3-democrats and 2 republican and the entire kit-n-kaboodle of the election commission is politically run anyway.

Real surprise, eh??

Send in the clowns

Not only is this clown ripping us off as I noted here
She brags about it. First, the facts.

As reported on dontgomovement.com, Speaker Pelosi bought between $50,000 and $100,000 worth of stock in Pickens’ CLNE Corp. in May 2007 on the day of the initial public offering:

“She, and other investors, stand to gain a substantial return on their investment if gasoline prices stay high, and municipal, state and even the Federal governments start using natural gas as their primary fuel source. If gasoline prices fall? Alternative fuels and the cost to convert fleets over to them become less and less attractive.”

CLNE also happens to be the sponsor of Proposition 10, a ballot initiative in Pelosi’s home state of California to dole out a combined $10 billion in state and federal funds for renewable energy incentives -- namely, natural gas and wind.

And the amazing thing about this is that she knows nothing about fossil fuels!

BROKAW: Well, I think most people understand that, but at the same time, if we work our way off carbon-based fuels, in the meantime, this is not going to happen overnight.

PELOSI: No, it isn't, but you could -- again, you could reduce the price at the pump immediately with (inaudible). You can have a transition with natural gas. You can have a transition with natural gas. That is cheap, abundant and clean compared to fossil fuels.
***
PELOSI: I'm -- I'm investing in something I believe in. I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels.
***
PELOSI: Well, that's not -- that is the marketplace. The fact is, the supply of natural gas is so big, and you do need a transition if you're going to go from fossil fuels, as you say, you can't do it overnight, but you must transition.

These investments in wind, in solar and biofuels and focus on natural gas, these are the real alternatives

Can we impeach someone for stupid and conflict of interest??

Link

Read it again dear chums. She is blocking drilling for oil, which would reduce the price of natural gas which she is invested in, and she is hucking natural gas and wind which she is invested in!

If she was selling stock they'd put her in jail! I have never seen such a clear conflict of interest!

Great gobs of drizzling goose shit! Is there a Repub in the universe with a set of cajones on him big enough to demand her resignation?

Do your homework

The following is an excerpt from a serious article that manages to cover history that I opine most of us didn't know or hadn't thought about to reach the following unavoidable conclusion:

A few such shoots survived, regenerated, and grew into a new Europe, again full of self confidence and vigor between 1946 and 1966. But this new tree too is being sawed through by the West’s “best and brightest,” though not of the beribboned kind now. Running as fast and as far as they can from the evils of the two world wars, they are dragging the West right into the opposite evil.

Like a pendulum that can only quantum-leap from one extreme of its arch to the other, the 2008 heirs to the mantle of 1908 politicians have become their cartoon antithesis. Though Europe’s 20th century suicide in two parts should have discredited militarism, pusillanimity, chauvinism, racism, colonialism, gender and class discrimination and nihilism, the bien pensant have harnessed the blowback to discredit war in self-defense, courage, patriotism, white ethnicity, the white peoples’ self-determination, white males, inequality based on merit, and Christianity.

The Anglican Archbishop of the former Rule Britannia is now a promoter of sharia. Spain’s prime minister wants the country that once reconquered itself from Muslim rule, to let itself be conquered again. The Dutch want to sue a man for loss of profits when he warns of their colonization by people who boil over for cartoons, but bowl over for beheadings.

The Vikings are now the obsequious servants of their women and their imported freeloaders. Not that there was true glory in being savage brutes; but being eunuchs is not much better. And the United States, once of ‘manifest destiny,’ has curdled into a “proposition nation” of no discernible borders, language, culture or continuity -- as though the people who founded and built it, their culture and their descendants, never existed.

From the self-confidence and sense of superiority of the 1900s and 1950s, the West has evolved into a groveling clump of meek masochists, worshipping false idols because they are not the old false idols. The political, intellectual and artistic elite in every country of the West is now fawning on its previous perceived lessers: the non-white, the foreign ethnic, the non-Christian, the female, the homosexual, the dumb and deviant. And it does so as though such “minorities” had the sole purchase on virtue.

Forever fighting the previous war when it’s no longer relevant, eyes firmly planted on the realities of 1915 and 1940, Western elites are busy combating “racism,” “orientalism,” “ethnocentrism” and “sexism” that no longer exist in Western societies but exist in all others. And they do so by committing a dual act of treason. Its one prong is the forced dilution and suppression of the Western founding peoples’ racial, ethnic and cultural heritage and identity. Its other prong is the forced injection of the previously slighted “minorities” into the upper echelons of power, regardless of merit.

Just because a hundred years ago power was wielded by incompetent white males of dubious character, the main qualification for the new Praetorian Guard is to be a woman, a non-heterosexual, or a “person of color” of dubious wisdom. But only true meritocracy and ethnic cohesiveness can save the West from being destroyed by the spreading chaos from the Third World, and by the might of the East, where male oligarchies, tribal allegiance, and ruthless meritocracy still hold sway

Take the time to read the entire article. It proves that not all on the Internet is junk, and that it can be a great educational vehicle.

The canary's report

I keep going to what's happening in Europe because it truly is the canary in the coal mine.

A Somalian woman who came to Norway more than 10 years ago is harshly criticizing her fellow Somalian immigrants and Norwegian authorities. In a new book, she claims Somalians themselves don't want to integrate into Norwegian society, and that Norwegian welfare programs make it easy for them to remain isolated

That's fairly typical of all welfare programs that aren't tied to work programs that are rigorously enforced. Give them money and they stay isolated. They have no reason to come out.

She claims that resistance to integration is widespread especially among Somalian men, who fear losing their culture and religion. Many are afraid of Norwegians and view them as infidels who can't be trusted.

The questions that needs to be asked to the immigrants is, "If your culture is so great, why were you forced to come here?? And if you weren't forced, why are
you here?"

In her book, entitled "See us!" (Se oss!), Amal Aden claims the Somalians also exploit the Norwegian welfare state and have many children in order to qualify for more welfare payments. Many couples also "divorce" under Norwegian law in order for the women to receive even more welfare payments as single mothers, only to continue to live under Somalian customs with their Somalian husbands and have more children, the author claims.

Here again there is nothing new. Welfare rules that reward the man leaving the household while also rewarding additional children is exactly the formula that created an almost permanent underclass in the US.

She writes that violence is a part of life in Somalian homes, that young girls are often molested and women and children are intentionally kept isolated. Many Somalian men, she claims, prefer to live on welfare than accept jobs seemingly below their social status.

Culture again that could be effectively changed by using workfare rather than welfare. You want to eat? Work.

Several Somalian activists in Norway are already rejecting the book and blasting Amal Aden for criticizing immigrants traumatized by war and poverty in their homeland. "Half of the Somalians in Norway have been here less than five years, have little education and have problems integrating," claims Said Abdulwahab. "It doesn't help to criticize them."

No surprise here. First we get the excuse of what happened followed by the excuse that they have little education, been there for less than five years and have trouble integrating. Aren't these the same people who won't take jobs they think beneath them and accept welfare??

Abdulwahab has five daughters himself aged four to 14, but has sent them all to school in Kenya. Not, he claims, because Norwegians can't be relied upon but because he wants them to get a good education.

No. He wants his daughters to be educated per Sharia law.

Isn't the question really, why has Norway let these people in?

And isn't it time that we look at what we are doing?

And innocence is?

Those on the Left often claim that the proper response to terrorism is police action.

Is it?

The problem is that police action does not effectively deter crime, it only attempts to catch and punish the criminals for society. Hopefully the threat of capture and punishment deters crime and hopefully the criminals can be reformed and returned to society.

But police action doesn't work when the "criminals" don't care if they are captured. Indeed, these "criminals" capture themselves by committing suicide when the fly airplanes into buildings, blow up cars in crowded shopping markets and wear explosive belts into cafes and other stores.

Like it or not, the issue becomes:

Shall I wait until thousands of my innocent fellow citizens are dead from a terrorist attack,?

Or shall I try and disrupt the terrorists efforts by attacking them and those who support them?

It becomes then a terrible Hobson's choice. Innocent people, men, women and children will die either way.

The question is, innocent Americans or innocent "others?"

Most Americans would say, "Better them than me and my family." But let's take it a bit further.

Who is the least "innocent?"

Is it the citizens of the country that, though imperfect, has done more than any other country in the history of mankind to advance tolerance and human rights? And who have paid a terrible price in lives and treasure to defeat three "isms" that killed perhaps 100 million?

Or is it the citizens of the countries that are ruled by governments and a religious law that enabled the terrorists and created societies that tolerated honor killings, no rights for women, hanging of gays, etc?

Given that the citizens of America cannot change the countries creating such evil without attacking them, and given that the citizens of the countries described have not changed them, it is obvious that the citizens of those countries bear responsibility for the actions of the terrorists, although the individuals condemn the terrorists and would live in peace with the world. It is then, the lack of action that is the problem.

The bottom to all of this is that Islam must reform itself. That is up to individual Muslims. Until then we have every right to attack and kill those who would attack and kill us.

If innocents die it is the fault of the terrorists and the innocents who allow the terrorist to live in their midst.

This is unfair to the individuals. But life is not fair.

Slate play's the race card for Hussein

If the Hussein campaign isn't playing the race card, then you will find media members who are so far in the tank for Hussein that they will never see daylight again doing it for him.

This from Slate.

If you break the numbers down, the reason Obama isn't ahead right now is that he trails badly among one group, older white voters. He does so for a simple reason: the color of his skin.

Yeah. You have to watch us older white voters. We're skeptical of all politicians, but especially politicians with no experience who associate with America haters and who demonstrate their dumbness by telling us to inflate our tires to solve the energy crisis.

The rest of you dummies can get smashed on "change" and "hope" kool aid. We know that "hope" must be translated into hard work and that cancer is nothing more than uncontrolled and undefined change.

There is one issue, however, that the tanked writers never mention. That's Hussein's 90% to 95% support from blacks.

What would they call that if whites had voted that way??

a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

You can't have it both ways, dear chums. Can you?

Hussein does what?

Why does a star like Obama -- who can draw 200,000 Germans to the Brandenburg gate and 73,000 wildly enthusiastic supporters who will gather at Invesco Field for his acceptance speech Thursday night -- have a problem?

.....

But Obama is a guy, wide smile and well-crafted message notwithstanding, who seems to give the electorate more of his head than of his heart.

Look. If Hussein had rather give head that's his business.

Biden's health issues

Tragically, just before the New Hampshire primary, Biden suffered a brain aneurysm. His doctors gave him a 30 percent chance to pull through – and he did. With another chance at life and some newly acquired hair plugs, he went back to work in the US Senate, where he’s been ever since.

Link

McCain's health issues just became non-issues.

Let's speculate...

Hussein wins. Biden dies and Hussein appoints (Select One):

Rev Wright
Farrakhan
Wiliam Ayers

Vice President. President Hussein then resigns and returns to Africa...

And (from selection list) becomes President and surrenders to (Select one):

Libya
Iran
Russia

Well, it is the Internet, isn't it??

Illegal aliens and national health care

Some will see this as a reason we should shut down the borders, and I agree.

A 30-year-old Mexican man in a coma at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago has ignited a dispute over a little-known practice at hospitals—sending medically needy undocumented immigrants back to their countries of origin.

The disagreement revolves around Francisco Pantaleon, who arrived in the U.S. 11 years ago and suffered a severe brain hemorrhage in mid-July, according to his sister Socorro. A father of two, Pantaleon worked at a carwash and has no health insurance, she said.

The medical center believes there is "little hope for recovery," according to a statement released Tuesday, and officials arranged for Pantaleon to be transferred to a hospital in Acapulco at UIC's expense. An official said his immediate family consented to the move.

But Pantaleon's sister and cousin are protesting that arrangement and have retained lawyers in hopes of preventing it. "This is an injustice," said his sister, who worries that Pantaleon won't survive the trip or find adequate care in Mexico.

But I will add that it is a strong reason for having National Health Care paid for by a national sales tax.

Illegal aliens are here. They are getting free care. And we are paying for it.

Also included in that group is everyone who live in the "gray market" areas and don't pay taxes on income, including the "poor" who don't have insurance yet use the emergency facilities as their "doctor."

We already have a health care delivery system, and an administrative system, Medicare, that know how to work with each other. All we need to do is fund it.

Millions of people who are now paying for their insurance can pocket that money.

Millions of people who are now getting "free" insurance through their employer can ask for raises to compensate for the new tax. Said raise to come from the money the employer is no longer having to pay for insurance.

Looks like a win win to me. Who will oppose it? Everyone who think they are now getting "free insurance." Everyone who think that the "poor" aren't supposed to pay for their health care. Everyone who think they don't need health insurance.. that would be mostly the young and dumb. Everyone who think that the current system is OK.

So it doesn't have a chance.

But at some point it is going to have to be fixed. A national sales tax is the only way to pay for it that would be acceptable. It can be made fair by exempting certain "essentials" such as unprepared food, utilities, gasoline/fuel, used cars beyond a certain age, etc.

Limousine Lefties in Denver

I couldn't make this up.

The party of the common man and the envrionmental wackos srikes again.

DENVER - Thousands of delegates, politicians, supporters and protesters are expected to descend upon Denver for the Democratic National Convention in two weeks. One thing they may not find is a ride around town due to a lack of limousines

According to records, 271 limo companies are registered at DIA. However, Cookenboo says the majority of those companies only have one to three cars. It comes at a time when limo companies are expected to make 125 runs a day during the DNC compared to 80during a normal week.

"We're simply running out of cars," said Cookenboo.

To help with the shortage, limo companies are renting cars from other companies and turning to other states to help bring in more cars. The Public Utilities Commission has issued a waiver system to allow companies to add to their current fleet according to Cookenboo.

Never mind that Denver has a great bus sysyem from the airport to downtown and the Tech Center, where many hotels are located. And never mind that Denver has a great highspeed train system from the Tech Center to downtown...

Never mind that Denver, like Mexico City is built in a bowl and has huge pollution problems....

Never mind that these are the very people demanding that we not drill for oil in the US so that the public be forced to use alternative fuels to fight so-called global warming....

Never mind that. These hypocrites must have LIMOUSINES!

If that doesn't make you want to puke then nothing will.

Go on dummy. When you get the piss off your shoes, vote Democratic.

Dinner for some DNC attendees

And may they enjoy!!

And thanks to Mike L!

Give war a chance

Fatalities from terrorism have dropped by 40 per cent while al-Qaeda has faced a dramatic collapse in support throughout the Muslim world.
There has been an “extraordinary, but largely unnoticed, positive change” in the sub-Saharan African security landscape, with the number of conflicts being waged reduced by more than half between 1999 and 2006, and the combat toll dropping by 98 per cent.

A decline in the total number of armed conflicts and combat deaths around the world also continues.

Tennesseans like their BBQ pulled, their gravy red eye and they get their corn from a jar.

And if they don't, the THP will pass all the information about them around....

Best I can tell the people involved are all Repubs and/or opponents to the Governor's $20,000,000 party room or watch dog groups interested in government spending.

Of course the Guv says he'll check all this out and let us know.

Sure. No doubt.

Watch for the media to bury this as fast as possible.

A political operative with the state House Democratic Caucus said Wednesday that he — not the Highway Patrol — placed a drunken-driving arrest record of a Republican opponent in the House Republican caucus leadership offices.

The disclosure by Keith Talley counters claims by Republican leaders that the TennesseeHighway Patrol must have been involved in the political dirt-digging on a GOP candidate. The patrol is embroiled in yet another scandal as one of its officers is under investigation for running unauthorized criminal portal checks on as many as 182 Tennesseans.

The names of those individuals have not been released by THP leaders, who insist there are no state elected officials or candidates whom THP's Lt. Ronnie Shirley checked.

Republican House leaders this week claimed a link between that scandal and the mysterious appearance of the DUI records of Republican House
candidate A.J. McCall of Wilson County.

House Minority Leader Jason Mumpower, R-Bristol, said the documents appeared overnight in his locked Capitol complex office about a month and a half ago.

Republicans and DemocraticHouse Majority Leader Gary Odom continue to call for the list to be released and an outside agency to investigate."

My Doctor visit

See I had this problem and finally I just gave up and went to see my Doctor.

I knew right away when I arrived that something was up. The parking lot was full of vans with reporters standing around and lots of screaming teenagers running around and fainting every now and then. Hmmm, I thought, must be a celebrity in town.

The waiting room was changed, too. All the chairs were arranged in a semicircle and he receptionist was in the middle.

“Grab a seat,” she said, “we’re in a self criticizing session here. What can you add?”

“Well,” I said, “I got this problem and I want to see the Doctor..”

“What!” a fat lady of twenty something exclaimed, “we’re practicing group think. How dare you not confess!”

“Uh, it’s kinda personal… if you don’t mind,” I said begging off.

“Hmmmmph.” She opined.

“I really want to see the Doctor,” I appealed to the receptionist.

“Oh very well,” she snapped. “Fill out this form so I can pull your records.”

So I did and she did, and then I noticed this picture on the wall..

“That isn’t Doctor Jones,” I said, thinking that the image was vaguely familiar.

“Of course not. That’s the new Doctor,” she added straightening the picture, “that’s Doctor Audacity.”

And then she whisked me back to the examination room.

A lady with a “Nurse Rice” name tag appeared.

“I’m here to prep you,” she said.

“Prep me?”

“Of course. No one sees the Doctor until they’ve been prepped. What is your problem?”

“Uh, it’s kinda personal,” I said.

“Nonsense, this is a medical facility. Speak up.

“Well,” I said, “see this is kinda about some problem that only happened rarely in the past, but it’s happening much more in the near past..”

“Please be specific,” she demanded.

“You know, “ I said.. “It’s kind hard… no it’s not hard… that’s the problem … never mind.. it’s about E D.”

“Ed?”

“Yeah, that’s the name they use…. E D.”

“Well,” she said.

Just then the Doctor came in, or maybe I should say the group came in.

“Is this the wounded warrior?” he asked as the electronic flashes went off from the ten or so cameras.”

“Warrior? No, this is about E D…”

“Is your friend Ed dead?” he asked. “I can feel your pain as clearly as any Clinton could…”

“Uh, there isn’t any pain,” I said, “but yeah E D is kinda dead.”

“I knew it,” he said. “Now tell the group where you were injured in the unjust war that McCain supports.”

By now I was confused. “ Uh, what war?”

“The unjust war.”

“Never heard of that war. I was in the Cold War.”

“Cold War?”

“Yeah. You know the one with the Soviet…”

“You mean the one in which we refused to recognize the superiority of the Soviet’s system??”

“Look, “ I said, “no need to argue…can you just fix my E D?

“E D??”

“Yeah.”

“Not Ed?”

“No. E D.”

“I’m not that kind of Doctor.”

“But,” I said, “You’re the Blessed one sent to us, can’t you raise the dead??”

“No,” he said taking off his white coat as Nurse Rice ushered the reporters out.

“Are you sure?”

“I’m sure,” he said.

I was getting desperate now. “What kind of Doctor are you??

“I am the Doctor of Hope!” he exclaimed as he went for the door.

“Can’t raise the dead??” I cried.

“No,” Nurse Rice broke in. “Doctor Audacity is a Doctor of Hope!”

“And,” she added. “You are a big disappointment. I bet you don’t know anything about Foreign Affairs.”

That’s when it hit me. The solution.

“Never had one,” I said. “But could you get Doctor Audacity to introduce me to Paris Hilton? That would sure raise my Hope.”

"You had your chance and you blew it!" She said tossing my records in the trash can.

"No...no," I said, "I was thinking of the reverse..."

"Silly boy," she said. "I bet you aren't even a Democrat."

Bump and Update - SJS Denver

This was published on August 14.

An advocacy group for Somali immigrants cautioned against linking Dirie to terrorism.

The Somali Justice Advocacy Center in St. Paul, Minn., said Thursday that connecting Dirie's death to terrorism "is a rush to judgment."

Who would want to rush to judgement?

LinkFNC

We now have this...

The Denver coroner has determined that a Canadian man found dead Aug. 11 in the Burnsley Hotel in Capitol Hill committed suicide by ingesting cyanide.

Saleman Abdirahman Dirie, 29, of Ottawa had been dead some time when his body was discovered near a pound of sodium cyanide.

The coroner had previously confirmed that test results found cyanide in Dirie's body.

Police have said Dirie's death was an isolated incident and unconnected with the upcoming Democratic convention.

Family members in Canada have said that Dirie left Ottawa on Aug. 7, first traveling to Montreal in a rental car.

There, it appears he took a bus to Denver, where he told his family he was taking a vacation.

heh

He had pound of cyanide?? And committed suicide?? Yeah sure. That works for me. You?

Sudden Jihad Syndrome - SJS - anyone??? The question becomes, did he made a mistake or did someone help him?? And if so, why? And where did he get the cyanide? I mean a pound???

Bush has become his father

If true, this is dumb.

The US turned down a request by Defense Minister Ehud Barak to purchase the Boeing 767 aircraft, which can be used for mid-air refueling, amid fears that the sale would appear to support an Israeli strike on Iran, Channel 10 news reported on Thursday

Link

With Russia rattling its sabre we shouldn't be seen as less than helpful to Israel when they decide it is time to destroy Iran's nuke building program.

And make no mistake, someone will have to destroy it.

The good news is this.

Some 1,000 kilometers separate Israel from Iran, a distance that would play a key role in any attack on Iranian nuclear sites.

The IAF already has mid-air refueling capabilities and possesses seven F-16I fighter jets with an estimated 2,100 kilometer range, which would enable them to strike targets deep within Iranian territory without the need to refuel.

....

On Tuesday, the IDF announced plans to soon bring into service Boeing 707 aircraft, which also can refuel fighter jets in mid-air.

Boeing 707s "can refuel other airplanes while in the air, thus enabling them to continue flying," the IDF said. It added that "the last project involving a refueling system took place six years ago."

Why I will vote for McCain

The fall out continues over the Saddleback Q & A. And it should. If this doesn't make you pull the lever for McCain, nothing will.

The stark differences between the two came through the most on the question of whether there is evil in the world. Obama spoke of evil within America, "in parents who have viciously abused their children." According to the Democrat, we can't really erase evil in the world because "that is God's task." And we have to "have some humility in how we approach the issue of confronting evil."

For McCain, with a global war on terror raging, there was no equivocating: We must "defeat" evil. If al-Qaida's placing of suicide vests on mentally-disabled women and then blowing them up by remote control in a Baghdad market isn't evil, he asked: "You have to tell me what is."

Again we see that Hussein falls back to what his friends and associates believe. America is evil. We can't erase evil because that is "God's task."

I hate to tell Hussein this, but God helps those who help themselves. And we are put here to do God's work.

McCain has seen more evil than most of us will ever see, and he understands. His answer: "defeat" evil.

Works for me.

Hussein's minions are not dumb. They saw the results and they must now dread the debates... and it will a cold day in the hometown of evil, aka Hell, before Hussein does a Town Hall meeting with McCain.

Calling Reykjavk, Calling Reykjavk,

I was just checking my sitemeter... that's one of the many things us busy blogger executive types do... and I see that someone from Reykjavk, Iceland dropped by.

I hope they come back... Once upon a time I spent a fair amount of time there. I know the natives must find it attractive, but I can't say why. Oh well... I remember several things.

One is walking outside the barracks with a mild hang over... okay a HANGOVER... and be hit with the scent of the fish factory wafted on a mild 20 mile per hour breeze... I have never, never, never, ate fish sticks since then.

The other thing I remember is that when they brought their national airlines aircraft in for service, we had to make room in the hangar.... That meant we had to pull our military aircraft out and service them in the cold and snow and blowing snow...

That seemed wrong to some of us. I could never understand why. I mean, after all, we were merely keeping the Soviets from showing up and taking over...

Hussein's VP is Hillary!!

You know, Hussein is clever, if not smart... there is a difference.

He has lost between 10% and 15% of support to McCain because of Hillary.

Yet his base is totally opposed to her because of her war votes..

So what does he do?

He gives Bill a night and her a night..

And then he steps forward and says, "How can I not choose this woman? The convention delegates demand her!!"

Bits and pieces

The garden is done except for the candy... which is what I call okra... And if you ever eat it fried like my wife fries it you will understand... It will continue to grow and bear new pods until frost... I have seen some in Louisiana that had to be picked using a step ladder.

But overall the garden was a bust. The tomato plants had a hard start because of the late cold wet spring and the bell peppers just never made it. The onions and cabbage did good, but they are cool weather plants. The squash bore well, but I wound up in competition with the squirrels and rabbits. As I also did with the strawberries.

Visual evidence is displayed above.

My Dad always said a bad garden means a bad winter is coming. Don't tell Pope Algore.

Who didn't know this??

He was warmly received by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called him "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."

Surprise, surprise.... Sgt Carter

Democrat Barack Obama has had about a 3 to 1 advantage over Republican John McCain in Post Page 1 stories since Obama became his party's presumptive nominee June 4. Obama has generated a lot of news by being the first African American nominee, and he is less well known than McCain -- and therefore there's more to report on. But the disparity is so wide that it doesn't look good.

General Clark dis invited...

Not even their own military is invited to the big dance.

General Clark.....
is not attending the Democratic National Convention. I was told by General Clark's personal office in Little Rock that he would not be attending.

Clark was informed by Barack Obama's people that there was no reason to come.

General Clark has been given no role of any kind at the convention.

Rubbing salt in the wound even more, the "theme" of Wednesday's Democratic convention agenda is "Securing America."

When you don't invite your best supporter in the military to the coronation, it is proof positive that you are truly anti-military.

And this is the man the Lefties want answering the 3AM call?

Laugh In Redux - Update

In the original post the second link was a duplicate of the WaPost link. That is now corrected.

As was said... "Very interesting..."

That's the problem with saying things like:

"We will not be swift-boated," said Obama communications director Robert Gibbs. "And we won't take allegations that are patently untrue lying down."

Now, this Washington Post article was mostly ignored January 2007. Yet......

Obama's mother, divorced from Obama's father, married a man from Indonesia named Lolo Soetoro, and the family relocated to the country from 1967-71. At first, Obama attended the Catholic school, Fransiskus Assisis, where documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim, the religion of his stepfather.

The document required that each student choose one of five state-sanctioned religions when registering _ Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic or Protestant. Gibbs said he wasn't sure why the document had Obama listed as a Muslim.

"Senator Obama has never been a Muslim," Gibbs said. "As a six-year-old in Catholic school, he studied the catechism."

Now something here is incorrect. Either Gibbs' claim is not true, or the school records are wrong. Either he enrolled as a Muslim and took religious training as a Muslim or as a Catholic.

This new information makes it look bad for Gibbs.

The AP caption reads: “This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro into the Catholic school made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. The document lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen, born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, and shows his Muslim step-father listed the boy’s religion as Islam. (AP Photo/ Tatan Syuflana)”

Was his name changed? Is he of Indonesian citizenship?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Little things mean a lot

Eagle-eyed reader Gregory Koster caught an interesting contradiction from Senator Obaama, dealing with the senator's office. Of course, we've seen Obama flip-flop so much during this campaign that this shouldn't shock you. But it should amuse you:

Consider this, from the AP, reporting on the offices of the presidential candidates:

Obama's office feels more like a gallery of modern art: precisely placed objects, sparsely adorned surfaces, clean lines, choreographed displays.

And...

Obama's desktop, once used by former Illinois Sen. Paul Simon, is a testament to discipline.

Now, consider this, from the January 15th Democratic debate, moderated by Tim Russert:

RUSSERT: You said each of you have strengths and weaknesses. I want to ask each of you quickly, your greatest strength, your greatest weakness.

OBAMA: My greatest strength, I think is the ability to bring people together from different perspectives to get them to recognize what they have in common and to move people in a different direction. And as I indicated before, my greatest weakness, I think, is when it comes to — I’ll give you a very good example: I ask my staff members not to hand me a paper until two seconds before I need it because I will lose it. You know, the —- you know…
(LAUGHTER)
And my desk and my office doesn’t look good. I’ve got to have somebody around me who is keeping track of that stuff. And that’s not trivial; I need to have good people in place who can make sure that systems run.

Hmm. May sound like a trivial contradiction, but it isn't. If Obama's desk is a "testament to discipline," why would he describe it as a kind of disaster area? Maybe he was trying to sound more "human." Or maybe there's a casualness about the truth that comes naturally to Senator Obama, something, very frankly, that I think we've seen all along.

Reminds me of those people who get caught padding resumés.

August 16, 2008.

I also found that the biggest problems always came from people who would lie about tiny things, just to make a point they thought would help them look good.

They have no base. No bottom. Nothing to touch. Nothing that you can expect to help when help is needed.

Besides refraining from using the phrase "war against terror" PET recommends to refrain from speaking of Muslims as a population group related to terror and extremism. Other expression to refrain from using are "jihad", "holy war", "Islamism", "fundamentalism" or "mujahedines".

The suggestions from PET's Center for Terror Analysis (CTA) are intended to ensure that the world's Muslims don't feel suspected of being terrorists and that PET doesn't encourage Muslims by adopting their own terms, like Jihad.

PET suggests that authorities don't use the term "Islamist terrorist" and instead use just 'terrorist'. Other terms suggested by the report are "extremist", "militant" and "violent"

GMJ: In your book, you say you rely on the Zumwalt rules. Can you explain them?

Gen. Honoré: Ah, the Zumwalt rules. I learned them as a major. Admiral Zumwalt was probably one of the smartest officers who has served in uniform. Zumwalt said that when you go before Congress or reporters, be prepared with the three most important things to your organization. [When you're asked the first question], tell them the number-one most important thing that you need them to do or you need them to know, regardless of the question. To the second question they ask, you say the second most important thing that's critical to your troops and your mission. And when they ask the third question, you answer the third most important thing. Then you can get to what they want to talk about.

If it's fifty reporters, tell them you're glad they asked this or that question; that's a tough question. Then tell them the most important thing that the American people need to know because they are a medium to talk to the American people. When I talk to the press, I'm not talking to the press. I'm talking to the American people who hold me accountable for taking care of the troops and accomplishing the mission. Regardless of what question [the press] asks, I'm talking to the American people. And they should be watching me to make sure I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing.

This applies to any situation. Tell'em what you want.

Where's a Special Prosecutor when we need one?

Which brings us to Madame Speaker’s 2007 financial disclosure form. Schedule III lists “Assets and ‘Unearned Income’” of between $100,001-$250,000 from Clean Energy Fuels Corp. -- Public Common Stock. Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (CLNE) is a natural gas provider founded by T. Boone Pickens. Yep, that T. Boone Pickens -- former oilman turned wind-power evangelist whose ads touting a national wind campaign are now as ubiquitous as Viagra promos.

It gets worse.

Naturally, the Pickens Big Wind plan is proudly endorsed by Do-Nothing Pelosi’s friends at the obstructionist Sierra Club. Through another company, Mesa Power, Pickens has committed upward of $12 billion in wind farms on the Texas panhandle. CLNE and Mesa Power are separate entities, but what benefits one piece of the Pickens puzzle benefits them all. The wind venture, as Pickens himself acknowledges, depends on permanent federal subsidies.

Pickens is banking on ‘em. And Pelosi is banking on him.

Pelosi is getting richer and many of my dear chums are voting Democrat.
