Reason number 1,324 why we need to leave the UN.

U.N. Official Calls for Study Of Neocons' Role in 9/11

On March 26, Richard Falk, Milbank professor of international law emeritus at Princeton University, was named by unanimous vote to a newly created position to report on human rights in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. While Mr. Falk's specialty is human rights and international law, since the attacks in 2001, he has devoted some of his time to challenging what he calls the "9-11 official version."

This is also reason 1 zillion why tenure should be removed as a "right" for university professors.

I do not know if the rumor that Rev. Wright, Michelle and Hussien have reserved seats in the next class he does teach is true.

Muslim Strategies

The following pretty well spells it out.

Of course the Left will just poopoo it. After all, diversity is good.

Of course I don't see the same attitude from the other side.

This "explanatory memorandum," as it's titled, outlines the "strategic goal" for the North American operation of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan). Here's the key paragraph:

"The process of settlement [of Islam in the United States] is a "Civilization-Jihadist" process with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who choose to slack."

And the above matches well what Osama told Peter Arnett, then with CNN, in March of 1997.

REPORTER: Mr. Bin Ladin, will the end of the United States' presence in Saudi Arabia, their withdrawal, will that end your call for jihad against the United States and against the US ?

BIN LADIN: ..... So, the driving-away jihad against the US does not stop with its withdrawal from the Arabian peninsula, but rather it must desist from aggressive intervention against Muslims in the whole world

In the end, you are what you put up with.

Schools and dumb things

If we have an educational system that can not produce enough math, science and engineering graduates to keep us competitve, perhaps the reason is this.

Is American public education a form of child abuse? A week ago, the Washington Post’s Brigid Schulte reported on a student named Randy Castro who attends school in Woodbridge, Va. Last November at recess he slapped a classmate on her bottom. The teacher took him to the principal. School officials wrote up an incident report and then called the police.

Randy Castro is in the First Grade. But, at the ripe old age of six, he’s been declared a sex offender by Potomac View Elementary School. He’s guilty of sexual harassment, and the incident report will remain on his record for the rest of his schooldays — and maybe beyond

I think that explains the tittle of this post.

Starvation? Global warming has failed us again.

It is very chilly today and I am in fear that my tomatoes and bell peppers will be killed if the 28 degree forecast for tomorrow night comes to pass. That is a grumpy thing to me, but in many places in the world a late frost can kill or damage a crop to the extent that starvation is the result. In the US that won't happen, but the cost of replanting plus being late for the peak market window can bankrupt farmers.

The issue is, of course, when to plant. For two years in a row I have waited two plus weeks after the historical "last frost" date. Last year was total disaster and this year I'm flirting with disaster. I am sure Weeder Gander, or some minion of Pope Algore, will be along to tell me about averages, etc. Of course that doesn't do a tinker's damn for my garden, pocketbook and table.

In other news related to the consequences of actions caused by the environmental wackos, boosted by the Left and hustled by both Demos and Repubs, we find that energy shortages and the associated price increases for food has caused this: Haiti's government fell on Saturday when senators fired the prime minister after more than a week of riots over food prices.

And it isn't just rice, it's also corn, and it isn't just this year. From 3/07. This week's story that no one read and everyone should have is about tortilla riots in Mexico. Yes, tortilla riots. In Mexico. Some 75,000 people protesting the rising price of tortillas.

The problem was, and is, that much of the corn crop has been diverted to ethanol. Again we come back to the energy shortage, and the false claim that global warming must be fought with cleaner fuels.

The Law of Unintended Consequences is always ready to pounce, but when you put idiots in charge they run wild.

Yes, that is correct. The false claims of Global Warming are causing people to riot and go hungry.

Yes, that is correct. The environmental wackos prevention of us building nuclear power plants, destroying dams that produced electricity, drilling for new petroleum sources, use coal for electricity generation..... yes..... that is causing people to riot and go hungry.

How proud they must be.

The problem is simple. No one has been establishing priorities. The medical world calls it "triage" and it's taught from day one. Stop what is going to kill the person the quickest, first. In other words, if an artery is spurting blood, don't worry about a broken bone.

Instead of worrying about running low on oil and trying to assure a supply of oil and other energy sources, we have dashed about fixing pollution.

Pollution is bad. No energy is much, much, much worse.

The barbarians are at the gate and the Ludites have let them in.

Later, chums. I need to see what I can do to shelter my food.
