Now here's a thought.

The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982..... Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.”......
The Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen argued on her blog that weathercasters who had doubts about human influence on global warming should be punished with decertification by the American Meteorological Society.

Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called “the fraud of global warming.” He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose..... “[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore

What is it they say?? Follow the money!!

That's like a stock broker buying a stock and then hyping the company. May be true, but it is a definite no-no...

I have to ask this

The replacement for The Big Guy, aka Limbaugh, today opined that if someone would not vote for Obama because he was black, then they are racist.

I'm not going to argue with that.

But, after looking at the huge majorities of blacks voting for Hussein, would it also be fair to say that many voting for Hussein, who do so because he is black, are also racist?

a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others

I rather think that what we are seeing is "payback" by the black voters for years of ill treatment, and I can't really blame them. Just as I didn't blame them when they cut OJ loose.

But when you give one candidate 90% of 20% of the voting populace it is very hard for anyone to beat him unless you can overload the votes on the opposite side.

What we don't need is election by race.

But it looks like we have it.

I hate to complain again

but Pope Algore continues to fail his flock. The temp is 31 and the snow is painting the yard white. And even the New York Times is noticing.

According to a host of climate experts, including some who question the extent and risks of global warming, it is mostly good old-fashioned weather, along with a cold kick from the tropical Pacific Ocean, which is in its La Niña phase for a few more months, a year after it was in the opposite warm El Niño pattern.

But the true believers will not be put off.

He said the argument for a growing human influence on climate laid out in last year’s reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or I.P.C.C., was supported by evidence from many fields.

“I will admit that we do not have all the pieces,” Dr. Rigor said, “but as the I.P.C.C. reports, the preponderance of evidence suggests that global warming is real.” As for the Arctic, he said, “Yes, this year’s winter ice extent is higher than last year’s, but it is still lower than the long-term mean.”

Egad and gadzooks! What weasel words the good Doctor does use. “Suggests” “…we do not have all the pieces…” If I could I would ask Rigor if he would buy a car from someone who said:

“I will admit that we do not have all the pieces,” Dr. Car Sales guy admits, “but as the Better Bureau suggests the preponderance of evidence suggests that fraudulent activities by the manufacturer may not be real.” As for the gas mileage, he said, “Yes, this year’s results are lower than last year’s, but it is still higher than the long-term mean.”

Oh, you say that doesn't make sense?? Well, duh….there may be hope.

In the meantime all of Algore’s priests continue to ignore the Sun and the reduction in sun spots and drop of output from said Solar Furnace.

During my travails of travel to the West Coast last week I struck up a conversation with a fellow who was from Chicago, Omaha or The Big Orange. In any event he professed to be an employee of a large agriculture company, and we started discussing weather. Everything was lovely until I noted that I did not believe in man made global warming.

His reaction was immediate and visceral. “I am a scientist, and there is no doubt,” he proclaimed, actually stepping backwards.

“Great,” I replied. “I have been looking for someone to explain the cause of the Medieval Warming Period,” I said. “Surely there were no cars around 1000AD…”

The conversation was over.

There is a reason for everything.

And the New York Time explains:

But militant Islamists including extremists in Jordan who embrace Al Qaeda’s ideology teach recruits that children receive special consideration in death. They are not held accountable for any sins until puberty, and if they are killed in a jihad operation they will go straight to heaven. There, they will instantly age to their late 20s, and enjoy the same access to virgins and other benefits as martyrs receive.

See? Here you were probably thinking that were just idiot killers wanting to impose there fanatical religious beliefs on the world.
