I have been advised that

at midnight Daylight Savings Time will be imposed on the unwary.

All deer, birds, coyotes, snakes, coons, possums and other critters who live here with me in the Palatial Retirement Compound have been notified. What this means to me is that instead of waking at my customary 5:00 AM it will be 6:00 AM. Such an important matter deserves wider attention that what it will receive.

Of somewhat greater interest we find that Hussein has won another state through the caucus system. Being too lazy to research it, it seems to me that he does better when the outcome can be decided through public shouting rather than debating and private voting. Not unexpected when you consider that Hussein is not a candidate, but a cause.

Perhaps Hillary will start using his middle name, further inflaming John McCain into him showing his infamous temper at someone he should, rather than Talk Show hosts who were going to vote for him.

Shorter. John, I don't want to hear that "respectful debate" bit again. We are up against people who wouldn't piss on your shoes if your socks were on fire. Break out the elbows, brass knuckles and start acting like you know who the enemy is if you want your team to know who the enemy is.

Why do you see this only on the Internet?

why Mr. B. Hussein Obama’s name should turn up on the hard drive of a laptop computer belonging to Raul Reyes, the Colombian warlord and second-in-command of the Marxist-Leninist terror group FARC (short for “Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia”), who was shot in a raid by the Colombian army on March 1. Quite a few interesting tidbits have emerged from that hard drive, including the fact that the group had been attempting to obtain uranium and that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez had siphoned some $300 million to them. What caught the eye of the editorialist for IBD was place that B. Hussein O. occupies in the plans and fantasy life of FARC. “In a Feb. 28 letter,” IBD notes,”

"FARC chieftain Raul Reyes cheerily reported to his inner circle that he met “two gringos” who assured him “the new president of their country will be Obama and that they are interested in your compatriots. Obama will not support ‘Plan Colombia’ nor will he sign the TLC (Free Trade Agreement).”

Perhaps the NYT will assign someone to ask Hussein about this rather interesting bit of information that connects Hussein with a terrorist organization that is supported by Chaez rather than worrying about a meeting four years ago between two US Senators.

watch it here.

I have 5 inches of global warming

on the ground around my home this morning. And this morning is March 8. Now this isn’t a record by any means, but it is March 8!!!! If I had wanted snow on March 8 I would have stayed in Denver!

Grouchiness aside, that’s Denny Wilson’s shtick, why is this, as the weather people have assured me, anecdotal and the blazing heat of last summer evidence of the world coming to an end? Could it be that this doesn’t fit the politically correct view of the pundits and Pope Algore’s minions and the heat did? The answer my friends is written in the wind. That cold wind blowing over that cold snow.

Occam’s Razor states:

one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

The principle states that one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed. This principle is often called the principle of parsimony. It underlies all scientific modelling and theory building. It admonishes us to choose from a set of otherwise equivalent models of a given phenomenon the simplest one.

In other words, the simple theory that the earth warms and cools in direct proportion to the energy output of the sun makes more sense than the complex theory that says the release of carbon dioxide from man’s machines into the atmosphere is the sole cause.

The “simple” theory explains the Little Ice Age, the Medieval Warming Period and all those glaciers that have scrapped everything flat from time to time in earth’s history. The “complex” theory does not.

Think about that the next time some blathering idiot tells you that Global Warming is a settled scientific fact.
