Bits and pieces

It's cold and anybody who thinks this is caused by man made global warming is an absolute idiot.

Otherwise the good news is that this should drastically reduce the number of ticks, flees and snakes. Or anything that is old and or sick and can't get inside. The squirrels are digging furiously trying to find the nuts they buried last fall. I'll feed them tomorrow and refill the bird feeder.

That's from 2010 and we don't have any snow but you get the idea. No you don't. That was around 30. It's now 8.

Speaking of cold. I have a bad cold. Did all the stuff, still caught one.

Patience is a virtue

On October 12 I mailed a package Int'l First Class to France. It didn't arrive when it should have so tracking was in order.

It first went to Puerto Rico who returned it to Int'l sort in Miami who then sent it to France who then sent it to Brazil who then returned it to France who delivered it to the house on 1/25.  105 days.

Not a record, I'm sure, but a pretty good average.

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." - Karl Popper

“It’s the presumption that Obama knows how all these industries ought to be operating better than people who have spent their lives in those industries, and a general cockiness going back to before he was president, and the fact that he has no experience whatever in managing anything. Only someone who has never had the responsibility for managing anything could believe he could manage just about everything.” - Thomas Sowell in Reason Magazine
