Keep your enemies close. Your friends closer.

An enemy is an enemy and can be combated. Someone who would be your friend but is just so dead wrong on three important things is far worse than enemy.

“BRITAIN’S THERESA MAY IN U.S.: ISLAM IS PEACEFUL, GLOBALISM GOOD, CLIMATE CHANGE A PRIORITY

by Raheem Kassam, Breitbart, January 26, 2017:British Prime Minister Theresa May used her speech in Philadelphia to needle the new Trump administration on a number of issues ranging from globalism to climate change, Islam, and even to defending the European Union.

Theresa May isn’t fooling anyone. She doesn’t just talk out of two sides of her mouth, she talks out of twenty. Her conflicting position would flummox Gumby.
According to May, Islam is peaceful. Jihad imam get legal aid to fight to remain in the UK, but Theresa May banned me from the UK. Robert Spencer is banned. Why? Because we oppose jihad terror and sharia.”

Dumb and dumber

For the life of me I cannot understand why those we actually call “educators” are so out of touch with reality. Is there any living and breathing person with an IQ above room temperature who doesn’t  know how bad Sharia Law is for females?

Yet here we have a middle school actually assigning this.

The worksheet, assigned to seventh-graders at Highland Hills Middle School, presents a passage written by a fictional 20-year-old Saudi woman named Ahlima, who feels “very fortunate” to live under Sharia law in Saudi Arabia. She writes about how she will soon become a man’s second wife and explains her modest dress: “I understand that some foreigners see our dress as a way of keeping women from being equal, but … I find Western women’s clothing to be horribly immodest.”

And when challenged, what is the response?

“Bill Briscoe, a spokesman for the district, said the curriculum is being reviewed in light of the complaints, per district policy.

Uh, Bill, what’s there to review? It’s propaganda. Pure and simple. Why are you pouring it into the  middle school students’ unfinished brains?

And what does the woman who created this insipid fake piece of drivel think?

The same worksheet, created by InspirEd Educators Inc., caused a controversy when it was used at a middle school in Smyrna, Ga., in 2011. Sharon Coletti, the creator of the worksheet and president of InspirEd Educators, said she received death threats and was accused of “indoctrinating” children at the time.

"Coletti, who is a Christian and longtime educator, said in an interview with the Courier-Journal that she wasn’t trying to indoctrinate anyone. She said she was just trying to create a lesson that was more engaging than dry, expository text pulled from a textbook.
“If I can shape something so that kids have to decide for themselves, once I get them involved in the situation, they never forget it,” she said…..”

Yes, Coletti. We understand. The problem is you don’t.

Karma strikes!

Every now and then someone acting like an asshole get what they deserve.

“I told you I would like him to change seats with somebody…” the woman said, before the flight attendant cut her off, “Well, you don’t have that right.”

The woman then began to berate the Trump supporter.

“You pretend you have the moral high ground but you put that man’s finger on the nuclear button. That man doesn’t believe in climate change,” she said, using air quotes for dramatic effect.

As a gate attendant attempted to intervene, she was unrelenting………….

“Will you grab your belongings and come with me?” the attendant asked her.

She then attempted to use her recently-deceased mother-in-law for why she should remain on the plane and be unaccountable for her behavior.

Refusing to leave the plane, she said, “I paid for this seat and I’m sitting here. He’s in my space.”

(Note the word “space.”)

Another video, taken from across the aisle, showed the woman sneering at the Trump supporter, then at passengers behind her before police ordered her off the plane.

Needless to say the plane was flying to Seattle.

I lived in Seattle, actually the ‘burb of Redmond, for right at 5 years back in the early 80’s. Loved it! Lousy climate but great people. Not especially conservative but not all that Leftie and mostly laid back. The local sports anchor on the NBC affiliate use to opine “Remember folks, it’s just a game!” when the Seahawks took a drubbing. And going to a Mariners game was mindful of going to a Little League game. People chatting, visiting, waving at friends and occasionally cheering when one of the players actually made a great play.

So what happened?  Why did a nice place to live turn into this?

There was a newspaper guy, an old guy, who wrote a column for the Seattle Times. Seems like he drove around with his dog and wrote stories about this and that.  Seems like he had a RV… And he was dead set against letting foreigners from California in.

I’m sure he’s dead now and I left long ago. I’m glad he didn’t live to see what the place has turned into.

I hear you knocking...but you can't come in

Do foreign nationals have the right to enter our country with the intent to demonstrate and try and change our laws, customs and elections?
“The plan was simple. Montrealer Sasha Dyck and some friends would drive to Washington to join the Women's March. But when the six Canadians and two French nationals reached the border at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, in Quebec, they ran into trouble.
U.S. border agents asked what they planned to do in the United States. “We said we were going to the Women’s March on Saturday and they said, ‘Well, you’re going to have to pull over,’ ” Dyck told the Guardian. Agents then searched their car and examined their cellphones, according to Dyck. Each member of the group was fingerprinted and had their pictures taken.
Finally, after two hours, the agents told Dyck and his friends to turn around. “They said, ‘You’re headed home today,’ ” Dyck told the Guardian. Officials warned that they’d be arrested if they tried to cross at a different spot this weekend, Dyck said. “And that was it, they didn’t give a lot of justification.”

Uh, Dyck. They didn’t have to give you justification. You don’t have the right to come into our country for any reason.

I mean, the Left is having kittens over Russia, supposedly, hacking a political organization’ s email system and passing it on to WikiLeaks for distribution to the Wide Wide World via the WWW. Why? Because it is an attempt to influence.  Now that being true…..what is demonstrating in the streets?

Now I know that foreigners within the US have the same rights for due process within our legal system. But those rights are limited.  For example….They don’t have the right to vote.  They don’t have the right to drive a car without an acceptable license….Or

But there is the First Amendment that says.....”…..  or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The crux of this is the words “..right of the people.” Who are the “people?”  Well, the Second  Amendment says, “…..the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

That makes it plain. “The people are citizens.” Various laws/regulations make it plain what the words mean.

“In general, non-immigrant aliens are forbidden to possess any firearms or ammunition. But there is a big exception for a legal alien who:

...is in possession of a hunting license or permit lawfully issued in the United States
(See Title 18, USC Chapter 44, Section 922, part (y)(2) for details.)

Green-card holders and immigrant aliens who do not yet have their green card are both okay under federal law, although many people (including gun dealers, law enforcement officers, etc.) are not aware of the distinction or the hunting license exception, and erroneously think that either you have a green card, or you can't have guns.

Also, non-citizen cannot purchase a firearm from a federally licensed firerams dealer unless they have been a resident of their state for 90 days. So, no, tourists on short visits cannot walk into guns stores to get "protection" during their trip. Sorry. (I've been asked that multiple times.)”

So you can’t come into this country with the intent of demonstrating and trying to influence us in the relationship with our government anymore than you hack the DNC legally.

Yes, it was a hate crime

Well, the Chicago police have finally decided to charge the 4 black “yutes,” to steal a name from “My Cousin Vinny.” Which is all about how a smart intelligent super hero from New York “lawyers” circles around those dumb ignorant southerners.  Especially the supposedly educated prosecutor and  judge.

All good clean fun and games but what do we have left after snickering at the one liners and ogling the heroine’s fantastic  body?? The furtherance of stereotypes that would never be allowed if the southern lawyers were black. Which, by the way, there are many of.

But I digress.

What the 4 black yutes are charged with are two variations of hate crime, battery and kidnapping…and it only took those Chicago Yankees a little over two days to figure it out. Maybe it was the black yutes making the mentally challenged white 18 year old curse Donald Trump that they couldn't grasp.

Now we shall go through the agony of watching the Left claim that it wasn’t anything in the media that torched these 4 black yutes off. It was just a reaction to Trump saying he would close the borders ….I mean those policy discussions can get pretty heated at times.

No, it couldn’t be things like this:

But I will say it anyway. There are other ways to get rid of Trump other than impeachment. It has been my hope that there is a cabal of realists in the national security apparatus who know how dangerous a President Trump will be to national security and already has plans underway to deal with that threat."

Naw. Not a chance.

Trump had better have some good protection. Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look. And he is pissed off about loosing.

Hurt feeling

Well, MKS got his feelings hurt because I referred to his blather as “blathering” so he has run off to his safe space and won't  play.

I should have referred to him as “Snowflake.”

Anyway, here are some words he has used…

”Dude, Jimbo, …. Mr. History buff....

You have such an inferiority complex, apparently stemming from your origins in Appalachia or rural Tennessee,.....

And more:

“Well, that was my attempt at reason with you.  But bigotry is hard to set aside.”

Calling someone by a made up name, dude and a bigot is okay… But don’t refer to blather as blather,

And the final..

I would love Armando to have a discussion with you.  I guess that would last, what, maybe about two seconds.  He would set you straight PDQ.

I guess he thinks Big Brother can save the day.  Yes, I should have called him “Snowflake.”

Blatheriings from a Leftie

Here’s where we were.

What you fail to see (5.00 / 1) (#45)
by MKS on Sun Jan 01, 2017 at 09:16:39 PM CST
is that Latino culture is a part of American culture.
Just look at the Southwest.  Latinos have been here far longer than Anglos.  Latinos have been the bedrock in Colorado for generations.
You think that only white Protestants (you have been on a riff lately against Southern European culture, or, in other words, Catholics) from the non urban Midwest or South represent American culture.
You definitely exclude Muslims (bye, bye Kareem and Muhammed Ali) and those from the Middle East. Not Americans or not American culture.
And Jewish people, not part of "American" culture either.
The beauty and strength of our country is how diverse it is, that we take from all cultures.  This is why Americans succeed so much--we adapt and absorb and change.  This is what Obama so epitomized, and probably why you detested him so much, posting a racist photo on your blog of bone through his nose.
You do not see America as stronger for its diversity, but fear it, and want to isolate "American" to some version of the white Protestant

MKS, you strain and strain and when you can’t answer my points trot out a bunch of straw men and false claims.

First of all, I have spent a great deal of time outside the US both as a military service member and as a civilian under contract to the State Department and as a civilian promoting business alliances.  But I never pretended to understand the cultures of those countries.

I did, and do, believe in observing the results. The Russian culture created the climate that allowed communism to take root. The German culture created the climate that allowed Nazism to take root.  And the Southern European culture, which was imported to the “new world” created a feudal society that has not served the peons well. The result has been an exodus to America. They see what we have.  They want to improve their lives. Nothing in that is unusual or new. But the result has been an invasion of 13 million illegal aliens.
And like any group of 13 millions some are criminals. Some have communicable diseases.

And nothing in any of my comments has anything to do with how long Latinos have been in the SW.  That has nothing to do with the problem of a mass influx of illegal aliens.

To   repeat, my comments have pointed out that the Native Americans – NA – had some very nasty characteristics and so did the Southern Europeans, as I noted in my comments.

The result of the invasion was a culture throughout central and South America that has not been successful in establishing a modern democracy that serves its lower class citizens well.  Indeed, it has created a culture of two groups. The “Haves” and the “Have Nots.”

And all of your blathering about the American culture or diversity has nothing to do with that. But to sooth your feelings, I believe in “E pluribus unum.” Out of many, one.

The Left’s. and your, definition of Diversity is a bunch of separate groups with their own goals and demands that the other groups abide by. That is balkanization and all we need to do is look at Europe to see what that can lead to.

As for the Mulsims, you again make things up. My point has been that we are importing tens of thousands of people that we cannot vet. That’s stupid. Plus:

A significant minority (21%) of Muslim Americans say there is a great deal (6%) or a fair amount (15%) of support for extremism in the Muslim American community.

And that’s the Pew Research Center, not BreitBart

But I digress.

My point is that we have a problem originating south of our borders and the problem will not cure itself. So my solution is.

1.       Close the borders.  Build the wall.
2.       Give all those here, because you can’t deport 13 million, who pass a criminal check, Green Cards so that they can live openly.
3.       By closing the borders you will create a shortage of labor. Labor is a commodity just like peaches. The shortage will allow the workers to demand, and get, wage increases and better working conditions.
4.       Provide a path to citizenship.

Now, what do you find wrong with that?
