Just heard a snippet of Hussein telling the crowd that the Republicans are trying to make the election about him, instead of "you."
Well, yeah. You see, "you" isn't running for President. Hussein is. And since he is, it is right and proper that we take a long hard look.
And that's what is starting to happen. He tells us he is a Christian but has spent 20years in a church with a minister who says decidedly non-christian things. He claims to be a patriot but won't wear a lapel pin telling the world he is. He claims to be against terrorism but associates with a man who was one, and who has never apologized. He claims he will meet with no pre-conditions with states who sponsor terrorism but he won't tell us what his base negotiating position is. The economy is in trouble over energy, yet all he can do is tell us that the "world" has the right to tell us what to drive, how much to eat and what we can set our thermostat on. And finally, his wife disses America in campaign speeches but he claims no one can attack her.
Do you think maybe he is fearful of what else we will find??

Strippers, terrorists and exploding heads
An old friend named Kdog sent me this:
It's a funny thought, might make a great Peter Sellers' type movie, or maybe a "Get Smart" in which Smart pulls down the bra of his assistant and becomes confused over which is the mike and which is the receiver......while the terrorist fall dead around them....
I used to think that sex, drugs, rock and roll plus jeans and low cut shorts would win the cultural war, just as they won the cold war. Of course they wouldn't because the terrorists would just slaughter the women and young men and our PC leaders would opine thoughtfully over cultural norms and how we must not judge.
I mention this because one of our a army guys in Iraq used a Koran for target practice. Naturally everyone went gaga and I understand that Bush called up and apologized.
"Horse hockey," as Colonel Potter use to say.
You can look at this on two levels. The first is that it causes problems that we don't need, and that's true. You can also say that we must be respectful of.......
"Hold on there varmint," to quote Yosemite Sam.
Maybe it is time that we start telling Muslims it is time for them to start changing, and that worrying over a book being destroyed, cartoons, naming a teddy bear, etc., is silly.
You see, if we don't start condemning some of the so-called cultural norms, gay killings, hanging of rape victims, stoning women, executing women for infidelity, honor killings, etc., then we are enabling the radicals who push these things.
Think of the NYT accepting KKK lynchings because that's the way things have been done in Alabama.
Now I grant you the shooting of the Koran is not helping STOP the war in Iraq.
But hey, we can STOP the war anytime we want just by leaving.
We went there to WIN. And the only way you can win is to change the cultural norms just as we did in Germany, and to a much larger degree, Japan. And to change them we must condemn them and demand they change.
Will we have the balls to do it? Of course not. We're opting for soothing everything over and hoping. But that isn't going to work. Sooner or later either our cultural norms or the cultural norms of the radicals are going to have to go. And as long as we don't push the point the average Muslim is going to assume that we don't have any real problems with them.
I've always said we could have saved a lot of money and lives if we sent a brigade of all-star American strippers to Afghanistan and Iraq instead of young men and women with guns...the crazies heads would explode and peace would reign:)

HOW to SAVE the AIRLINES
Dump the male flight attendants. No one wanted them in the first place.
Replace all the female flight attendants with good-looking strippers! What the hell -- they don't even serve food anymore, so what's the loss?
The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a 'party atmosphere' going in the cabin. And, of course, every businessman in this country would start flying again, hoping to see naked women.
Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thus saving even more money. I suspect tips would be so good that we could charge the women for working the plane and have them kick back 20% of the tips, with the lap dances and other 'special services'.
Muslims would be afraid to get on the planes for fear of seeing naked women. Hijackings would come to a screeching halt, and the airline industry would see record revenues.
This is definitely a win-win situation if we handle it right -- a golden opportunity to turn a liability into an asset.
Why didn't Bush think of this? Why do I still have to do everything myself?
Sincerely,
Bill Clinton
..... Well, you can't be serious ALL the time. Well, maybe you can, but who wants to?
My thanks to Mike L.

Fair for the goose as it is for the gander
Asked about the video Monday, Obama told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that the ad is “low class.” The front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination warned that the Tennessee GOP “should be careful” and said he finds it “unacceptable” for them to use his wife in a video.
Average citizen to Hussein 57.
If you don't want your wife involved, get her off the campaign trail and have her quit making speeches. As long as she is and does she is fair game.
Weeder Gander
returns to instruct us. As usual he starts off with a snark. His remarks are italicized.
Let me help you understand this complex matter:
Well, since your comment is on the Iowahawk post I’m unsure what matter you are writing about, but I’ll just respond to your comments.
And, then, secondly, there's a bit of hypocrisy here because merely talking with our enemies, that's something that Ronald Reagan has done with the Soviet Union, Richard Nixon did with China. John McCain advocated just a few years ago that we should be talking with Hamas. The issue, it becomes appeasement only when you're under threat and you give something away. When you give something away, that's very different from talking with your enemies and I think that's why, perhaps, on an intellectual level, John McCain loses here.
Uh, the issue is talking with terrorists and states that sponsor them. Speaking with Iran about Hamas is speaking with Hamas, but both Iran and Hamas can use the fiction they are separate entities and blame each other. And Nixon and Reagan met only after detailed pre-meeting discussions.
The real issue is that there is nothing to discuss. Their position is they want Sharia law and demand the west not interfere as they cut our throats and destroy our culture.
Hussein doesn’t understand that and thus would seek to appease, thinking he could get "peace in our time." His comment that his middle name gives him an advantage in dealing with Muslims shows his lack of knowledge that Muslims kill Muslims on a regular and routine basis. I mean, really. Such a middle school level comment coming from someone wanting to be President is funny. That the Demos will actually nominate him is astounding.
I ask you. What would you be willing to give up to receive assurances that Iran stops their nuclear program???
Remember, leaving SA and the ME doesn’t stop the problem.
As OBL told Peter Arnett in the 3/97 interview.

So, the driving-away jihad against the US does not stop with its withdrawal from the Arabian peninsula, but rather it must desist from aggressive intervention against Muslims in the whole world.
Now we know
Now we know what his "future" means and what his "change" means.
His vision of the future is just like Jimmy Carter's. His glass is always half empty. Rather than looking for solutions that will raise all boats he wants to just keep slicing the pie into smaller and smaller pieces.
This man is an embarassment to the party of JFK, Truman FDR.
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said
