Now we know

Now we know what his "future" means and what his "change" means.

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said

His vision of the future is just like Jimmy Carter's. His glass is always half empty. Rather than looking for solutions that will raise all boats he wants to just keep slicing the pie into smaller and smaller pieces.

This man is an embarassment to the party of JFK, Truman FDR.

  1. I think there's an important point in there.

China, India, Brazil...due t globalization they're catching up and want to live like we do...car in the drive, meat for dinner, etc. I don't think the resources are there for that...somethings got to give. Either our quality of life slips or theirs stop rising. We see it already with food and gas going up, up, up. If there is a solution outside a revolutionary cheap fuel source I don't see it.

  2. Well, I don't know if the resources are there, but if we start off saying they're not, they never will be. Technology must be the answer. If it isn't then we are in for some real nasty wars.

I am cheered by remembering that the Club of Rome said we were all going to starve to death 20 years ago and then the Green Revolution came along.

I am depressed by people like Obama who don't have a clue yet have 75,000 people screaming his name.

  3. Politics is sport and hero worship now, if it hasn't always been so.

It's just the guy on team D has won over the fan's fickle hearts at the moment. 2000 and 2004 it was G Dub's country charm (equally clueless, no?)on team R that had the fans. I swear it's no different than professional wrestling:)

  4. Ya got a point. Though all in all wrestlers are probably more honest.

    ;-)
