Reminds me of an old joke..

Prominent Democrats are upset with the aggressive role that Bill Clinton is playing in the 2008 campaign, a role they believe is inappropriate for a former president and the titular head of the Democratic Party....have told their old friend heatedly on the phone that he needs to change his tone and stop attacking Sen. Barack Obama,...

I guess asking someone to mention that blacks went for Obama by a 84% to 16% margin in Nevada is out of the question....

And that is understandable. He is the first black person to actually have a shot at the nomination. If I were black I would support him.

But the problem for the Demos is this. The Demos have long enjoyed a huge edge in votes from blacks. If they feel Obama has been treated unfairly will they stay home in November? Worse, will they start to ask.... which party has actually appointed the most blacks to high level positions???

  1. GOC recommended your blog.

Okay, if you were Black you would vote for another Black person just because he is Black? That is disturbing to me. I won't vote for a female because I'm one.
I think it shows ignorance for people to vote for someone who may not be qualified based on race or gender. Don't you?

  2. You are right, but people aren't perfect and everynow and then a little payback is good for the soul. Remember OJ being cut loose?

So yes, I understand blacks voting for a black who is also a serious candidate, as opposed to THE Rev and/or Al..

Also remember that blacks have a long history of voting for the Demos. That indicates that they believe that a Demo is better for them. So now you have both...

The question remains, will there be a backlash if Obama doesn't win.
