The apologies and surrender begins

Leave it to the Tennessean’s Bob Smietana to try and find moral equivalence between what  Muslims have done in the Middle East and western culture.

“Other scholars said outrage over blasphemy has sparked violence within other faiths, including Christianity.Beginning in 1692, it killed 20 people and nearly destroyed the small community of Salem, Mass., said Benjamin Ray, director of the Salem Witch Trials digital archives at the University of Virginia.“It happened in America, and it happened in a similar way,” Ray said.Ray said this week’s embassy attacks and the Salem witch trials were sparked by graphic depictions of blasphemy. In Egypt and Libya, a video posted on YouTube was to blame. In Salem, the violence was set off by courtroom testimony.”

This, of course, is a silly comparison and must use an example over 300 years old.  It has no connection with what is happening now.
But we can expect to see the hate America Left to grasp it and try to justify what is happening and how we must censor ourselves.
And before you think I am wrong, remember that many newspapers in the US, including the Tennessean, would not publish the Danish cartoons showing Mohammed with a bomb in his turban.
Do you remember the condemnation of the Florida preacher who was going to burn a Koran?
Do you remember the condemnation of the “disrespect” shown a Koran by prison guards?
Our enemy is smart. That told them that they can impose their will on us. That told them they can first make us self censor. And using Muslim and Leftie political power to be politically correct they see Shariah  Law  being implemented in the US.

“The historical pattern of Islam shows us that when a nation gains a sufficiently large Muslim population, they will begin to agitate for Shariah to be implemented. Shariah is the system of civil law that is based upon the Qur'an and the Ahadith and the work of Muslim scholars in the first two centuries of Islam. Shariah extends beyond just civil law. Applied fully, the Shariah is a code for living that Muslims should adhere to, including prayers, fasting and donations to the poor. Shariah is the totality of religious, political, social, domestic and private life. Shariah is primarily meant for all Muslims, but applies to a certain extent also for people living inside a Muslim society. “

And do not be confused. That was, is and will be the goal of the Muslim radicals. Don’t believe me? I give you this from an interview of bin Ladin by Peter Arnett, then with CNN, in March of 1997.
“REPORTER: Mr. Bin Ladin, will the end of the United States' presence in Saudi Arabia, their withdrawal, will that end your call for jihad against the United States and against the US ?BIN LADIN: The cause of the reaction must be sought and the act that has triggered this reaction must be eliminated. The reaction came as a result of the US aggressive policy towards the entire Muslim world and not just towards the Arabian peninsula. So if the cause that has called for this act comes to an end, this act, in turn, will come to an end. So, the driving-away jihad against the US does not stop with its withdrawal from the Arabian peninsula, but rather it must desist from aggressive intervention against Muslims in the whole world”

Look at that last sentence.

“So, the driving-away jihad against the US does not stop with its withdrawal from the Arabian peninsula, but rather it must desist from aggressive intervention against Muslims in the whole world”

Now think what that means. And remember that America is part of “the whole world.”

And yet Obama and his state department apologizes and apologized and the Muslim radicals attack and demand.

What fools we be.

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." - Karl Popper

“It’s the presumption that Obama knows how all these industries ought to be operating better than people who have spent their lives in those industries, and a general cockiness going back to before he was president, and the fact that he has no experience whatever in managing anything. Only someone who has never had the responsibility for managing anything could believe he could manage just about everything.” - Thomas Sowell in Reason Magazine
