Global warming is here, don't you know

The white Christmas in the South was one for the record books. Columbia, S.C., had its first significant Christmas snow since weather records were first kept in 1887. Atlanta had just over an inch of snow—the first measurable accumulation on Christmas Day since the 1880s.

If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." - Karl Popper

  1. Figure 1(a) shows January-November 2010 surface temperature anomalies (relative to 1951-80) in the preliminary Goddard Institute for Space Studies analysis. This is the warmest January-November in the GISS analysis, which covers 131 years. However, it is only a few hundredths of a degree warmer than 2005, so it is possible that the final GISS results for the full year will find 2010 and 2005 to have the same temperature within the margin of error.

Glad to know is that all it takes to disprove global warming is a few snowstorms in the South.

Who should we believe, you or those undereducated fools at NASA?

  2. Actually I find the fools to be over educated.

It is the ones who believe them that I worry about.

As Professor Jones of EAU wrote:

Another Jones' e-mail read, "I would like to see the climate change happen so the science could be proved right."

  3. "I would like to see the climate change happen so the science could be proved right."

So, that's disproves the NASA readings?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

BTW, it looks like it is happening:

    Overview of conditions

Arctic sea ice extent averaged over November 2010 was 9.89 million square kilometers (3.82 million square miles). This is the second-lowest November ice extent recorded over the period of satellite observations from 1979 to 2010, 50,000 square kilometers (19,300 square miles) above the previous record low of 9.84 million square kilometers (3.80 million square miles) set in 2006.

Ice extent was unusually low in both the Atlantic and Pacific sectors of the Arctic and in Hudson Bay. Typically by the end of November, nearly half of Hudson Bay has iced over. But on November 30, only 17% of the bay was covered by sea ice. Compared to the 1979 to 2000 average, the ice extent was 12.4% below average for the Arctic as a whole.

Less Arctic ice cover, but there is no global warming nevertheless.

So, NASA and the NSIDC are in on the conspiracy as well.

    Good to know.
