Economic advice for the oil producers who didn't save their money

BANGKOK — There are plenty of needy countries at the U.N. climate talks in Bangkok that make the case they need financial assistance to adapt to the impacts of global warming. Then there are the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia has led a quiet campaign during these and other negotiations — demanding behind closed doors that oil-producing nations get special financial assistance if a new climate pact calls for substantial reductions in the use of fossil fuels.

“We are among the economically vulnerable countries,” Al Sabban told The Associated Press on the sidelines of the talks ahead of negotiations in Copenhagen in December for a treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012.

“This is very serious for us,” he continued. “We are in the process of diversifying our economy but this will take a long time. We don't have too many resources.”

Now let us review this. The hoax of man made global warming, aka Stupid Gore Disease, is causing the west to do things that will supposedly reduce oil consumption and hurt SA and other OPEC countries.

Leaving aside that our Congress and President is too stupid to drill for oil in this country, go after shale and develop coal and nuclear resources.... The Sheiks of Arabia want us to give them "special consideration," aka money because oil use will be down and they "don't have too many resources."

Hell, they didn't have any until we went over there, discovered oil and taught them how to drill for it. Our reward? Oil that was around $3.00 and below spiked and has caused all kinds of economic problems for the industrialized countries of the world.

So here's my advice. Buy more camels and learn to live like your great grand daddies did because we aint giving you jack shit. You enjoyed the screwing you gave us, now enjoy the screwing we are going to give you.
