Pelosi proves that she is a liar about EIT

All the Lefties are in a twitter trying to protect their heroine, Nancy P of the "I will save the world clan!" (While getting rich on investments she can control the out come of as Speaker of the House... but I digress.)

In truth she has admitted that she knew what the CIA was doing, and thus proved that she has been lying. Let's look first at what the CIA memo says.

The memo, issued by the Director of National Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency to Capitol Hill, notes the Pelosi-Goss briefing covered "EITs including the use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah."

Now, Pelosi has admitted to that.

"As this document shows, the Speaker was briefed only once, in September 2002. The briefers described these techniques, said they were legal, but said that waterboarding had not yet been used," said Brendan Daly, Pelosi's spokesman.

Now, all of the EIT’s have been held to be torture. I happen to disagree with that, but Pelosi does not.

And then this fact. The waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah has been know since 12/10/07 when ABC broke the story. So she knew about the techniques in 9/2002 and knew which one had been used and who it had been used on 12/10/2007.

She is a liar. She is a serial liar. Now, if the Left want that kind of person to be third in line to be President, that is their choice.

But they MUST drop all the silly "moral values," "world opinion" and "we must take the high road BS" or just admit to being hypocrites!

  1. We're always so grateful for your informative links. The question, at the moment, is not, " What is torture, and should it be practised?" The question is, "Who has the moral right to throw a stone at the other side, when all this happened under the recent and direct menace of 9/11, and when high autorities were ALL informed of the CIA interrogations?"

No wonder Obama is hesitant about stirring the can of worms...His team might end up being the bigger one!

  2. Thank you for the kind words.

You know, if I can figure out that she knew, and demonstrate it, then the Lames Stream Media must be able to as well as all the Congressional staffers. (I'll let the politicans off the hook as being terminally dumb.)

  3. I know of good, brilliant journalists through Pen Canada. They're all in danger for exposing the naked truth in the various countries they belong to.

Alas! the ones we see on TV, and many we read in our daily newspapers, are social journalists. They're afraid not to be invited to the parties....Even if they see the truth, they will not speak of it.

We feel privileged to know a few blogs unafraid to draw the right conclusions and to lead us to honest informations.

I like that. It sums up hours of talk in two words!

  5. Truly amazing- Pelosi was caught lying red-handed... and she's STILL lying.

Of course, she had no objection to the use of EITs for almost 5 years- until she was Speaker in 2007 and the antiwar left raised it as an issue. Suddenly she's against it, and/or "knew nothing". And obviously willing to lie to the whole country to create a more favorable reality.

Apparently Obama and Pelosi forgot something: the CIA kills people... it's in their job description. Did they really think these killers were going to meekly take one for the team... when the team captain is a lying, incompetent, arrogant nebbish with no real-world experience and who told them they need to kiss his ring? - please

Pelosi is a no-talent hack who's made a lot of enemies. Going to be hard to BS her way out of this one- her approval rating was like 9% before this story even broke.

  8. he knows when he is beat..You lament my abscence, and but you were also bitching and moaning that when I do answer you, all it is "personal attacks" and quotations.

Say the word, I'll never post here again if that's what you really want, of course.

BTW, it's risible that you take the word of a Lamestream Media outlet without doing any other research, but then they, you use them when it suits you, and denounce them when they print anything you don't like.

Here's a little more detail about what your talking about, that's all:

CIA: Notes On Pelosi Meeting Don’t Specify Briefing On WaterboardingNone of the notes and memos that the CIA is aware of about the briefing Nancy Pelosi got on torture specified that she’d been briefed on the use of waterboarding, a CIA spokesperson confirms to me.

In the newly-released documents detailing the torture briefings given to members of Congress, the portion describing Pelosi’s single briefing says she was told about the use of enhanced interrogation techniques in general, but doesn’t specify whether she was told about the use of waterboarding. That was specified about some briefings given to others.

I asked CIA spokesperson Paul Gimigliano why. His answer: Because the notes and memos on the Pelosi meeting that form the basis for the docs didn’t allow them to go that far, meaning that they didn’t specify that she’d been briefed on waterboarding in particular.

In a statement to me, he explained that that “the language in the chart” is “faithful to the language in the records.”

“Nothing is being hidden or hyped,” he continued. “CIA is simply being true to the records. That’s all there is to it.”
Here’s what this appears to mean: All the records on this meeting the CIA is familiar with stop short of specifying that she was briefed on waterboarding. Instead, they only state that she’d been briefed on EITs — enhanced interrogation techniques — in general. To be clear, this doesn’t prove conclusively that Pelosi, who says she was only told of the legality of techniques, wasn’t briefed on the use of waterboarding. But if she was, no one made a specific note of it in any of the records the CIA is aware of. GOP Rep Pete Hoekstra is claiming that he’s seen documents that prove she was told. But the CIA doesn’t seem to have a record specifying this. We’re getting closer to figuring out what actually happened.

Unless some of us have made our minds up and don't need any other facts. And please, don't be shy about telling me where I don't measure up to your standards, it's like being accused of being dishonest by Bernie Madoff, or as they use to say, more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

  9. You are smarter than this. But for one and final time I will explain it to.

In her own words she says she was briefed on EITs in 9/2002.

On 12/10/2007 ABC News reported in a video of an ex-CIA agent that waterboarding had been used and id'd the terrorist.

So for the last 17 months she has known what the CIA was doing, yet she has lied about it.

Now, go and peddle your claims elsewhere and never come back.
