Fairness doctrine to be brought back

The Federal Communications Commission has announced the roster of a new advisory committee on "diversity" in communications, a move many critics have warned would mark the beginning of government regulation of talk radio and a reinstallation of the "Fairness Doctrine" by another name.

As WND reported, a think tank headed by John Podesta, co-chairman of Obama's transition team, mapped out a strategy in 2007 for clamping down on conservative talk radio by requiring stations to be operated by female and minority owners, which the report showed were statistically more likely to carry liberal political talk shows.

They won't give up and they won't stop.

  1. I looked over the list of the people on the advisory committee, they come from such Socialist/leftist organizations like Google.com, ABC networks, AT&T, and you're right, their mission statement is very scary:

The Diversity Committee’s mission is to make recommendations to the FCC regarding policies and practices that will further enhance the ability of minorities and women to participate in telecommunications and related industries.Yes, it's obviously a sneaky way to get the Fairness Doctrine in through the back door.

Glad you're here to tell us the horrors that await us these days, PPJ.

  2. Are you actually naive enough to think that means anything? These are people REGULATED by the FCC. Do you think they will actually oppose what the FCC staff wants?? And who do you think the staff works for?

    God. You are hoples.

  3. These are people REGULATED by the FCC. Do you think they will actually oppose what the FCC staff wants??So, the whole FCC staff turned over from the previous Administration, so that Obama could do his nefarious deeds with the FCC.

I realize you've been on this paranoia high ever since the election, but you are hopless in your determination to remain in your state of fear and trembling.
