  1. Amazing technology!

The poor people. All crowded in, one by one, and together. To watch the defeat of common sense. Let's hope for the best...I pray!

Y'know, it's not much better here. But we're not that important. What we do, seldom affects the world. Except we fight on the battlefields.

  2. "...to watch the defeat of common sense..." That's well said and spot on.

Canada counts more than you mwy think. It has a core of hard headed citizens who believe in western democracy and its military is top drawer. When we use to do joint ops with them I was always amazed at their professionalism and abilities.

  3. Thank you. I admire my people too. We're very low-key but we're solid, loyal to our friends, and compassionate towards all. I guess, in the end, that's all that matters.

Americans are exceptional people, inspired to do great things, incredibly creative, tough survivors, and born leaders.

I have no doubt that the best of you, and the best in you, will surmount the present difficulties and will even surpass your past, remarkable achievements.

    All the best.;-)

  4. I want to add one quality you all have which I experienced first hand, when I lived in Houston. You're generous to a fault.

I couldn't believe the help everybody gave to this young French Canadian, a bit lonely, and isolated with her two small children, when her husband would travel all around Texas, for the Consulate, to sell the British Empire. Not only was I invited to their pools, barbecues, and numerous activities, they even, laughingly, taught me their accent so I could function better in my important work with Dr. DeBakey.

Generous to a fault. Always ready to jump to the rescue, everywhere in the world. No other nation ever had that attribute. It's really your badge of honour. I hope that the lack of gratitude you sometimes encounter will never change your nature.

Thank you for allowing me to say "Merci", from the bottom of my heart, for what was done for my family in our time of need.
