Let all the votes count

Rep. Roy Blunt, the House Republican whip, on July 8 introduced a resolution demanding that the Defense Department better enable U.S. military personnel overseas to vote in the November elections. That act was followed by silence. Democrats normally leap on an opportunity to find fault with the Bush Pentagon. But not a single Democrat joined Blunt as a co-sponsor, and an all-Republican proposal cannot pass in the Democratic-controlled House.

Don't forget! Lefties support our troops!

  1. Do you mean that the soldiers on the battlefield cannot vote?

  2. They can vote absentee with ballots from the state of their declared residence. The vote must be properly filled out, etc... that includes post dated and delivered. Like most civilian type things and the military the results have been spotty.

in FL 2000 3600 votes were challenged by the Demos and thrown out because they weren't available for the inital count. No one on the Left likes to mention such...
