They just don't get it

They, of course, is the Left. They don't render respect to the flag, they make complaints and comments that encourage the enemy, they demand that we surrender..

In short they whine and complain.

But a least you would think that a man who wants to be President would have a staff who knew what Memorial Day is about.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton declined to respond directly to McCain, saying only: "Senator Obama thinks Memorial Day is a day to honor our nation's veterans, not a day for political posturing."

Memorial Day is to honor those who have died protecting us.

Not for those who served, although they deserve to be acknowledged. But for those who died.

There is a difference. Hussein should get a spokesman who understands that.

  1. Cut the guy a break...I always get Memorial Day and Veterans Day mixed up too:)

What a difference a generation or two makes....my grandfathers were asked to potentially sacrifice their lives during the great crisis of their time...during the crisis of our time, we were asked to surrender our liberty further and go shopping. What's wrong with this picture?

  2. But you aren't running for President and you don't have a staff to keep you continually briefed!

So he gets no break from me!

You know, one of our main disagreements is over the so-called lost of liberty. I just don't see it. In the past 30 or so years we have included millions of minorities, added Miranda to police proceedings, insured women the right to have an abortion... versus what? Searches before flying? The government listening to telephone calls orginating from certin numbers to certain numbers...in which neither number is owned by an American citizen??

All in all I think we have many more freedoms in 2008 than we had in 1958...
