Budget Slashed!

The President ordered the cabinet to cut $100 million from the $3.5
trillion federal budget. I'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have
decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. I spend about $2000 a
month on groceries, household expenses, medicine, utilities, etc., but it's
time to get out the budget-cutting axe, go through my expenses, and cut
back.

I'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same ratio, 1/35,000 of
my total budget. After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending
$2000 a month, I'm going to have to cut that number by six cents. Yes, I'm
going to have to get by with $1999.94, but that's what sacrifice is all
about. I'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly,
luxuries.

Did the president actually think no one would do the math?

Jewish Boycott........Brilliant

Now I realize that the real problems we face with Muslims are the result of actions by the radical Muslims.

And I realize that there are millions of Muslims who are moderate and want only to live their lives in peace.

It's just that I don't see these millions of moderates demonstrating against the radicals when the radicals attack us.

So maybe the moderates should consider this and think about what they can do to equal these achievements.

And maybe that would encourage them to shut down the radicals and we can all live in peace.

A short time ago, Iran's Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people.

In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows:

Some Mathematics on Norway and terrorist attacks.......

As I write this it appears that the Norway terrorist attacks are the work of one, possibly two, killer(s).

And it is being trumpeted wide and far that this killer is a right wing fundamentalist Nazi Christian who hates Muslims.

Perhaps. Also perhaps he is a nutcase like the IRS attacker and the killer who attacked Rep Gifford.

Of course that will be ignored, or perhaps the lie that they are "right wingers" will be trotted out again and again in a thousand Leftie genres for the education of those of us who are not paying attention.

We get this whenever a non-Muslim attacks and whenever a Muslim attacks. Always the same.... "But....but.....just look at all of those "Christian attacks!"

I have a great deal of trouble accepting that the Oklahoma killers or the Norway killers or the IRS killer were practicing Christians.

I also have a tendency to bring this up.

Given that the US Christian population is around 300 million and the Muslim population is around 1.5 million, what weighting should we give to the population size disparity?? 300:1? 280:1?

I mean if all factors besides population number are the same, shouldn't the number of attacks be the same?

And don't forget the known planned/attempted unsuccessful attacks stopped by our security forces.

So if the number of attacks by radical Muslims since 1991 are around 20, shouldn't there be a million or so attacks by Christians???

And could you show me the international organization that is sponsoring/teaching/preaching that Christians attack us, and other Christians of different denominations??

Of course no such organization exists. Islamic organizations do.

There is a difference. There is a driver and Osama bin Ladin explained it during his interview with Peter Arnett, then employed by CNN:

Why does the media lie??

The NYT lies again.

“I want them here at 11 a.m. tomorrow,” Mr. Obama said. “They are going to have to explain to me how it is that we are going to avoid default.”

There are three things wrong with this article.

First, Congress is an equal member of Government. Boehner is an equal. This is not a bannana republic. Well, not yet, anwyway. Boehner doesn't have to "show up" and he doesn't have to explain a damn thing to our man child Prez.

Secondly, Obamie, our man child Prez, has never presented a plan to do anything. It would be helpful if he did, but then he couldn't lie and change his mind every 10 minutes.

Thirdly, if we do not extend the debt ceiling, we will not be in default.

Our current revenue per month is around $200 billion. Our debt service (loan payments) is around $20 billion. We can easily pay that.

Think of it like this. Your credit card has a limit of $10,000. You will exceed that amount after 8/2. You don't ask for a credit line increase but you pay the bill from the credit card company. You are not in default.

What we will have to do is decide what we will spend the leftover money on.

You know. A BUDGET. Wow. What a concept!

Perhaps we should consider firing everyone in the EPA, close down education and energy, stop all foreign aid, freeze hiring, cut all salaries 15% and bring all military people home from places like Germany, S Korea, Kosovo... everywhere we are not in combat.

When we have done that we can talk about what else needs to be cut.

No charge for the education, dear Lefties.

This one's for harrogate

A few days ago I posted a piece about VO 67 and their secret mission in the Vietnam war era. It concluded with this:

Estimates of 75% loss of VO-67 Aircraft and combat crews by planners fortunately did not occur. Thanks to the Air Force FAC Pilots training and intelligence reports only 3 aircraft and 20 crewmembers were lost

I don't know the manning level of VO 67 but a typical P2 squadron had 12 aircraft with a crew of 11 each. A loss of 3 would be 25% and 20 crewmembers, which sounds like almost two complete crews to me. Better than the projection but big numbers when taken from a small group.

May their souls have found peace.

And may all the demonstrators whose protests extended that war rot in hell.
