"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." - Karl Popper

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves.” - William Pitt

"Logic. There is little logic among the cultural elite, maybe because there is little omnipresent fear of job losses or the absence of money, and so arises a rather comfortable margin to indulge in nonsense." - Victor Davis Hanson

Coldest December on record for South Florida

<i>2010 South Florida Weather Year in Review
Coldest December on Record Concludes Year of Extremes
December 30th, 2010: Temperature and precipitation extremes marked the weather of 2010 across South Florida. A cool and wet January through March was followed by the hottest summer on record, and then concluded with the coldest December on record for the main climate sites in South Florida (details on the above mentioned periods will be included below).

.....At secondary sites Miami Beach and Moore Haven, it was the coolest year on record (please note caveat below table).

You see, it works like like this. Global warming works only in the summertime. In the winter it goes into hibernation along with the Unicorns that Algore uses to pull his SUV.

Purchased any gasoline lately????

DEMOCRATIC PROMISE #16: Lower Gasoline Prices
Promise: “Democrats have a plan to lower gas prices…join Democrats who are working to lower gas prices now.” – Then-Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Press Release, April 19, 2006

Broken Promise: “The average price of gasoline hit $3.218 a gallon Monday, up a stunning 11.5 cents the past week and just half a penny shy of the inflation-adjusted record, the government reported. The average is almost certain this week to pass the inflation-adjusted high of $3.223, recorded in May 1981 by the Energy Information Administration.” – “Average Gasoline Price Nears 1981 Average,” USA Today, May 22, 2007. Democrats have been in power for six months, and gas prices have gone up, not down.

And, of course the price just kept on rising until Bush (too late) issued the EO that brought off shore drilling back and broke the speculators bubble. He did that in 8/2008... we then elected Obamie and the price has risen steadily, but really jumped when Obamie stupidly announced the ban on drilling in the Gulf.

Of course if his intent was to destroy the economy it was a smart thing to do.

Your choice. I take the latter.

Obamaoline on its way to $5.00 a gallon

SINGAPORE (AP) -- Oil prices rose to near $92 a barrel Monday in Asia as some OPEC ministers signaled the group doesn't plan to boost output to cool the recent jump in crude.

Benchmark oil for February delivery rose 27 cents to $91.78 a barrel late afternoon Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Let me see. About two months ago The Cat Food President announced no drilling in the Gulf of Mexico...... and gasoline has risen steadily since then....

Think maybe there's a connection? Oh well, we know where Obamie's loyalties lie! That would be anyplace besides America.

Global warming is here, don't you know

The white Christmas in the South was one for the record books. Columbia, S.C., had its first significant Christmas snow since weather records were first kept in 1887. Atlanta had just over an inch of snow—the first measurable accumulation on Christmas Day since the 1880s.
