Hat tip to Mike L who swears this is not a self portrait.
Just stuff about life, politics, and my disposition in general....
Mrs. Robinson, Barack Obama's mother-in-law, will be moving into the White House with the Obamas.
The scenario:
Barack and Michelle are getting cozy.
They exchange special glances.
They start to snuggle.
A door opens down the hall.
The unmistakable sound of slippers flapping is heard as momma Robinson makes her way to the bathroom.
Flap, flag, flap, flap....
Michelle looks at Barack.
Barack looks at Michelle.
They smile faintly at each other and roll over, facing opposite directions.
"G'night".
"G'night".
Michelle falls asleep.
Barack starts thinking about whom he can bomb.

In keeping with longstanding tradition, the first foreign visit President-elect Barack Obama will make after being sworn in will be to Canada.
The Canadian government announced Saturday, and the Obama transition team office confirmed, that Obama accepted the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to head up North for his first international excursion.
I guess he will start redoing NAFTA while he is there.

BALTIMORE— DEMOCRAT Mayor Sheila Dixon was indicted Friday on charges that she accepted illegal gifts during her time as mayor and City Council president, including travel, fur coats and gift cards intended for the poor that she allegedly used instead for a holiday shopping spree.

The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush's doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.
The move to open contacts with Hamas, which could be initiated through the US intelligence services, would represent a definitive break with the Bush presidency's ostracising of the group. The state department has designated Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in 2006 Congress passed a law banning US financial aid to the group.
