either did the best or the worst job in the team's history.
They started a QB with a broken finger who couldn't throw accurately for more than 20 yards and who couldn't even make a "normal" handoff for a running play and got beat by a good, but not great Cal team and a very good Florida team.
Yet scored 31 points. Folks, when you score 31 points you are supposed to win. The young defense was a young defense.
Destroyed Georgia, beat a good Mississippi State team and then...
Appeared to quit at Alabama, played like world beaters for 30 minutes against SC and then looked terrible for the next 28 minutes and great for the last two... ...
And stuck in there against a very good Kentucky team and won in 5 overtimes...
Had LSU beat until Ainge tossed two interceptions... The first was almost identical to the one he threw at KU... Note to the new Offensive Coordinator. If you never throw deep the CB isn't going to respect a fake go pattern and will pick one sooner or later...
And if Wisconsin and won yesterday that dumb gadget play on the Badger's 12 yard line and the nutty substitution late in the 4th quarter of Ainge when they were on WI's 8 yard line .... well, let's just say that Allied, United and North American would have been asked about the cost of their services...
So here's to the team. They won yesterday on sheer talent and guts.
As for the coaches. I don't know.
