We are a Christian nation

President Barack Obama said in Turkey : "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."

I found this very interesting. Do you know the Preamble for your state?

Alabama 1901, Preamble
We the people of the State of Alabama , invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God, do ordain and establish the following Constitution..
Alaska 1956, Preamble We, the people of Alaska , grateful to God and to those who founded our nation and pioneered this great land.

....and onward for all 50 states.

After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe, Obama, the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong!

But we must not forget that Obama was raised as a Muslim for the first 10 years of his life. That is huge. It also explains his statements here and his disdain for our allies. It also explains his absolute insult to Israel.

Hat tip to Mike L!

  1. Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

  2. And the point of your quoting an over 200 year document is?????

The facts are that Muslims do not assimilate into any society they immigrate too.

  3. Muslims and assimilation in America:

Like Jews, Catholics and other immigrant groups before them, Muslims are building a social infrastructure in America that includes houses of worship, schools, health clinics, banks, charities and more. Muslims’ social and religious needs are diverse – and that diversity is reflected in the network of mosques and related social services centers they are creating.

Social services affect all aspects of the daily lives of Muslims as they seek mortgages, medical care and schooling tailored to their cultural and religious needs. Such services have multiplied in the last decade, and many provide services to non-Muslims as well, further shaping the fabric of American as well as Muslim life.

  4. Ah yes, we understand that. And that is the problem. Muslims choose to remain separate and in all countries they have immigrated to, when their numbers increase, they demand that Sharia law be instituted.

    We do not want that.

The way to keep it from happening is to stop all further immigration.

Hope this is clear enough for you.

  5. The arguments you make could've been made in identical terms against allowing Catholic, specifically, Irish, immigrants to come to America in the 19th Century.

Some Americans feared the Irish because of their religion, their use of violence, and their threat to democratic elections.

The party that advanced that argument is now known to history as 'The Know-Nothings".

    The more things change..........

  6. Yes, could have been and probably were.
However, the arguments at that time were false in that, as Christians and with a common language, the Irish were assimilated.
The Muslim population does not share a common language. That is a problem in that outside influences are greatly reduced.
The next problem is that today’s world provides continual communication and influence from the “old world” that the Irish did not have to contend with. That is also a problem with all current immigration groups, including newspapers, TV and radio.
So while the Irish were exposed to and forced into public education, Muslims are Balkanized and cloistered to the extent that many of the radicals are second generation Americans. This problem is compounded by the influence the Mosque has and the financing of schools and Mosques by SA and other Muslim countries.
Plus, Islam itself does allow assimilation. So while the Irish were merely required to go to Mass which had had no real conflicts with secular law, Muslims are required to follow Sharia law.
This can be ignored/tolerated at a certain population level, but at a certain point, see Europe, the situation becomes intolerable.
