Legalizing the status of the roughly 12 million undocumented immigrants living in America would create jobs, increase wages and boost the sagging U.S. economy, according to a study released Thursday.
The study by UCLA associate professor Raul Hinojosa-Ojeda found that citizenship and flexible limits on legal immigration would serve future labor demands and boost wages for native-born workers.
"Immigration has a positive effect on the economy," Hinojosa-Ojeda told reporters, saying legalizing undocumented immigrants already in the United States could add $1.5trillion to the gross domestic product over the next 10 years.
Yes, that man is teaching our children.
If you just ignore the fact that for every illegal alien's job meant that one less citizen had one.... and if you ignore the fact that as soon as they become citizens they will bring in 15 family members.... and if you ignore that increased competition for the same job brings wages down not up... Well, yes. If you ignore those facts....

So,,,, When they decide to legalize all those 18 million illegals for $500 does my family get any rebate for the money we spent getting wife and daughters their Green cards?
ReplyDeleteOR- since we did it legally (and they all speak *real[the Kings]* English) are we SOL and have to spend another $850 each to keep on the legal citizenship track?
The whole country is humped. Playing by the rules is now seen as meaningless.
