In the four years since he stepped down as Fannie Mae's chief executive under the shadow of a $6.3 billion accounting scandal, Franklin D. Raines has been quietly constructing a new life for himself. He has shaved eight points off his golf handicap, taken a corner office in Steve Case's D.C. conglomeration of finance, entertainment and health-care companies and more recently, taken calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters
Hussein's minion's say, "Pay no attention to the man behind the screen."
Funny. Hussein receives $120,000.
The story of Hussein's life...starring....
Hussein's legions.... Reverend Wright.....William Ayers.....Franklin Raines....Jim Johnson... And a cast of thousands...

Let's see whose been "advising" Sidney:
ReplyDelete"Carly Fiorina, the fired CEO who got a $42 million golden parachute," the announcer says. "Phil Gramm, the ex-Senator who pushed through deregulation, and called Americans hurt by this economy 'whiners.'"
And this particularly damaging connection: "Then there's George Bush, whose disastrous policies McCain wants to continue."
And what does HP's travails have to do with Fannie Mae or Fannie Mac?
ReplyDeleteNothing.
Last time I checked HP's policies didn't enable mortage brokers and bankers to rape the taxpayer and I don't think there is an accounting investigation on going....
She ran a business 'into the ground', and was compensated well for her efforts.
ReplyDeleteHaving her to be on the McCain team as an economics/business advisor is sorta like having an arsonist as your fire safety expert.
Oh, and BTW: Rick Davis, the current McCain campaign manager was a lobbyist for Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, which is further evidence that there probably won't be any accountability by anyone responsible for this mess any time in the near future..............
He left the Reagan White House to work with longtime lobbyist Paul Manafort, in founding the lobbying firm Davis, Manafort. In their political work, Davis served as Manafort's deputy in orchestrating the 1996 Republican National Convention; both would later join Dole's presidential team
Hey, lookie here:
He joined the presidential campaign of John McCain as an advisor in 2008.
HUD influence peddling scandal
Manafort would come under fire[5] for using his connections at HUD to ensure funding for an unwanted $43 million rehabilitation of dilapidated housing in Seabrook, N.J. As a partner in the development firm involved on the project, but he also received $326,000 in fees for his trouble.
You're right, McCain has advisors who are more experienced in this kind of thing than one former head of Fannie Mae, who is said to be(but may or may not be) an advisor to Barack Hussein Obama........
Facts be facts. McCain co-sponsored a new regulation bill in 2005 so he must not have paid to much attention to this (Gasp!) lobbyist!
ReplyDeleteOf course Raines and Johnson ran the joint...
hehehehe
Yes, McCain the reformer, the same fellow who said in March of this year that he's a 'deregulator' by instinct.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs.
And your point is what???
ReplyDeleteMcCain cosponsored a bill to fix the problem.
Hussein has done nothing but take money from and hire the managers of the problem.
hehe
