You knew it had to come to this.

There’s a new police chief in this small town, and he’s looking to change his department’s reputation after years of high-profile controversy. His first step: Every new officer candidate will take a lie detector test.
“Because of what happened ... every new officer I hire will go through the polygraph, and that’s what it’s focused at, any kind of racial issues or prejudice issues they may have toward any group,” said Coopertown’s new police chief, Shane Sullivan.

Doctors Without Constitutions



I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that one of the greatest threats to our freedom is Doctors in the "National Health Field."  This is from an article in the Tennessean by, "Manoj Jain is a Memphis physician whose writings have appeared in The Washington Post."

"Two weeks before the Newtown, Conn., shooting, I was at my doctor’s office for an annual physical exam, answering questions on an intake survey. Questions like “Do you smoke? How much?” and “Do you wear the seat belt?”
 
And then one question stuck out: “Do you have any firearms in the house? Are they stored in a locked area?” What business do my doctors have to ask me about my desire and acceptance to bear firearms? Politics aside, what does the medical and scientific literature say about gun ownership and gun control laws?"

The problem is, of course, is that politics cannot be placed aside.

Perhaps Jain has not heard of of it, or more likely doesn't care for it when it interferes with what he wants to do. But it does have this section called the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights. It was designed specifically to keep the government out of our private lives.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized".
Jain, it is none of your damn business if I have guns and how they stored. 

Please stick to treating the sick and stay the hell out of politics. You are not God and no one has appointed you Supreme Leader.

Free contraception

Frank, unfortunately for your ideas, we have this thing called the First Amendment. To wit:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;".

I know it is getting increasing popular for the Elites of this world to want to just do away with our Constitution, and its protections, but it is clear that mandating that a religious based organization provide "free contraception" through employer provided health care violates the employer's God given rights... I write specifically of the Catholic Church's doctrine in this matter.

And to be transparent, I disagree with the doctrine. But it is their doctrine and they have every right to it now as they did about 236 years ago.

And to be even more transparent I believe the 14th Amendment guarantees the right for any one to m
arry anyone as long as they are of a legal age and consent. To wit:

"No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

I also know that airline pilots, doctors and educators are the world leaders in a disease called "The God Complex."

But they aren't. They are just skilled human beings who have this chance to either help us, AS WE WANT HELP, or to hurt us. And before you start to argue the point, go back and see the incredible harm that was done by Doctors in the Third Reich. 

So take your ego and put it in your pocket and please quit telling us what we must do to fix a societal problem, not a medical one.

First do no harm is a powerful warning that you should consider.

Goebbels was born 100 years too soon

He must be spinning in his grave at the lost opportunity!

And to think those Americans were actually opposing him!

It looks as if Current TV will soon be a thing of the past. Al Jazeera, the Doha, Qatar-based news broadcaster, has agreed to acquire the seven-year-old cable channel from its co-founders, Al Gore and Joel Hyatt.

During World War II, Goebbels increased his power and influence through shifting alliances with other Nazi leaders. By late 1943, the tide of the war was turning against the Axis powers, but this only spurred Goebbels to intensify the propaganda by urging the Germans to accept the idea of total war and mobilization. Goebbels remained with Hitler in Berlin to the end. After Hitler's suicide, Goebbels succeeded him as Chancellor. Goebbels along with his wife Magda killed their six young children, and then committed suicide. The couple's bodies were burned in a shell crater, but owing to the lack of petrol, the burning was only partly effective.

What did you do to celebrate New Year's?




"Muslims Burn About 1,200 cars on New Year’s Eve in France," from the Conservative Papers, January 1 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Interior Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday that 1,193 vehicles were burned overnight around the country. Clashes between police and offenders in the New Year’s Eve took place in the Muslim majority districts in the city of Strasbourg and Mulhouse. About seven police officers were attacked New Years eve night.
Around 1,200 cars were burned by rioting Muslims on the New Year’s Eve in France, where the mass burning cars in the national holidays are kind of tradition among Muslim residents of the disadvantaged suburbs of immigrants.

In recent years, the celebration of the New Year and the Bastille Day (July 14) in France is often marked by mass burning cars as well. On the night of January 1, 2010, there were 1,137 thousand cars burned on the night of January 1, 2009 – 1,147 thousand were burned.

In the summer of 2010, the Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux made the decision to stop the practice of counting the demonstrators, as they claimed it only encourages the Muslim youths to commit such crimes . The current Minister of the Interior said that “the French people should know the truth.”

The American media has mostly not reported on these incidents, and when they do rarely mention their background or religion.

Death Panels - They're coming


Outcry: Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt provoked outrage by saying the death pathway was a 'fantastic step forward'
 
 
I guess, "Ask not for whom the bells toll...." needs to be inserted here.
 
 
The term “Death Panels” was introduced to describe what would happen when Obama’s healthcare law was passed and $500 billion dollars was taken from Medicare.
Why? Because when you remove funding and lower payments some Doctors will cease taking Medicare at all and some will cease taking new patients. Hospitals will also be hit so they will reduce expansion and adding new equipment.
When the baby boomers hit retirement, and they are now starting to, there will be shortages. Shortages always result in rationing. Some by price, some by government fiat.
So there will be panels to decide. In that some will be allowed and others denied the term “Death Panels” is quite accurate. In fact, a version of them exists now in that they approve the treatment and the drugs. The difference is that, since there are no shortages, approved treatments and drugs are not denied.
That this doesn’t bother Obama is easy to understand. His infamous remarks about his aunt are well known and his health care Czar, Ezekiel Emanuel (Rhambo’s brother) is for rationing:

Again for my Leftie readers, that means no disabled folks should apply.
 An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia. A less obvious example Is is guaranteeing neuropsychological services to ensure children with learning disabilities can read and learn to reason.

He means it boys and girls. Not for himself, of course, but for the "others." The children that can offer nothing but love and being able to dress themselves by age 9. The mother that remembers your Senior Prom but not seeing you yesterday.

Of course you have a duty to the state. You exist only to serve the state. Love the state. Pay no attention to the ovens being built.
