We are asking everyone to say a prayer for "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out in Afghanistan & they have lost 9 marines in 4 days. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE the message spread if more could past it on.

Instrument landing at night

I was watching the History Channel earlier. The program was about the ten most dangerous airports in the world..

Best I could tell, Aspen didn't make the list, or maybe I missed it.

Now I am a firm believer that all landings that you walk away from are good, so I decided to repost this video showing improvements in night landing technology. I haven't kept up so I have no idea as to when, or if, this will show up in the cockpit, but it is impressive.

The video is split screen allowing you to see what the pilot sees with and without the display.

Enjoy. And next time you fly into Aspen at night in the snow, think about those hills to the right.. and if the pilot decides to take you back to Denver.... Don't bitch.

Windy and chilly. I spent a great deal of time Sunday afternoon mulching leaves, which leaves a mess. When we get home I will hook up the bagger to the John Deere and clean up the mess.

Obama has had months to close down Wikileaks and he has done nothing. This makes me think he doesn’t care. Heck, we know he doesn’t.

Congressman King wants to name Wikileaks a terrorist organization and shut it down. Works for me…… Now, watch all the Lefties scream “Freedom of speech!”

Someone has set a fire outside the Mosque attended by the Xmas Tree Bomber. Dumb and dumber. That gives cover to terrorists by detracting from what he did. Plus, it is just 100% wrong,.

Obama wants to freeze federal pay for two years. I got a better idea. Freeze it for two years, cut headcount by 10% and no new hires for two years….. Military excluded (if you have to ask).

This morning we had a knock on the hotel room door where we are staying: “House Keeping!” was heard with a Spanish accent.

Opening door I replied: “We won’t be checking out for two more hours!”

With a puzzled look the lady said: “I don’t understand English.”

Grumpy. Some thief got my American Express account number and tried to use it yesterday. Thiefie was gonna use it to load some minutes on thiefie’s cell phone.

Happy: AX security nailed it. Gave me a call and the charges and is sending me a new card. Every now and then things work the way they are supposed to.

Muslims sentence Christian woman to hang for blasphemy

PAKISTANI Muslims have threatened anarchy if the Government pardons a Christian mother sentenced to death for blasphemy, calling hundreds of protesters onto the streets.
Hundreds of Muslims marched in the eastern city of Lahore after the most influential Sunni Muslim alliance in Pakistan urged the Government not to grant mother-of-five Aasia Bibi clemency.

We will hold nationwide protests if the government pardons the Christian woman," the subsidiary's chief coordinator, Qari Yaqub, told participants.

Now, where are the moderate Muslims?? Where are the Muslims claiming to want to build an outreach building (and Mosque) at GZ??

Where is CAIR? Where is NOW? Where is Obama?????

We have caning of a 10 year old in Indonesia for eating rice and pork. We have attempts at honor killing in Toronto. We have women accused of infidelity executed in Afghanistan. We have young girls hung in Iran for causing a man to rape her.

Where is the international outrage and condemnation of such barbaric actions???

If the moderate Muslims want respect and acceptance into the western world, then they must act to prevent such things from happening.
