The President lectures us to not get angry over 9/11

Well the radical Muslim apologists are out, lead by the Cat Food President this morning at the site of the Pentagon attack. He spoke of “we are” and such and such and lectured us to not challenge such things as the GZ mosque.

Instead, he says, the nation will resist "those who sought to divide and demoralize us." "We will stay true to our traditions at home, as a diverse and tolerant nation," he says. "We will not give in to their hatred," Obama said, despite the terrorists' efforts to spark conflicts among faiths. "

Link

He said not one word about our rights and our history and why we should never tolerate the building of a monument to the radical Muslims at the site of their despicable attack on people whose crimes were being at work in the World Trade Center. In short, the radicals must be allowed to tell us what to do.

Now as he and the other apologists blather and gather around their Dear Leader and claim that 9/11 and all of this is our fault…….

Well, dear Apologist, wherever you are:

I think it is worthwhile mentioning that, whether you remember it or not, we were in a very real, very nasty “Cold War” with the Soviets. And that the friends and shipmates of mine who died were just as dead as their uncles and fathers who died in WWII and Korea.

And while the Shah was a dictator and had his secret police, his radical Muslim replacements are dictators and have their religious police.

Do you actually believe that more people were tortured/killed under the Shah than under the religious fanatics that replaced him? And do you understand that, at least, under the Shah we had some influence and were pushing his government towards democracy?

Do you remember it was Carter whose failure to support the Shah created modern day radical Muslims and their terrorism supporting states?

Do you understand that we used Iraq to keep Iran from taking control of the oil in the Iraq and then the SA peninsula? Would you have preferred we let Iran have control of what was then a huge percentage of the world’s oil supplies? Or would you have preferred we used our military, and perhaps nuclear weapons, to stop the Iranians?

Maybe we should not have given the Taliban weapons to defend themselves against the Soviets and bleed the Evil Empire a bit. But I seem to remember we were weak and actually had “trip wire” divisions in Europe that were expected to fight and die when the Soviet’s attacked while we brought up reinforcements.

Do you remember that it was our refusal to go along with the English that allowed Egypt to survive as an independent country? How much did Kosovo cost us and how many Muslim lives were saved? Do you know we were in Lebanon on a peace keeping mission?

And have you forgotten that Israel was attacked by its Muslim neighbors within hours of its independence? Are you aware that none of the Muslim neighbors have ever been willing to accept immigrants? Do you know that in the negotiations set up by Clinton between Israel and the PLO, Israel gave the PLO 90% of what they wanted? And yet the PLO walked away?

BTW – Can you show me a Palestinian coin?

Have you read that it was Saddam who claimed the right to invade Kuwait and threaten Saudi Arabia over his desire to have more oil and more control over the west? And that after agreeing to the terms of his defeat how he kept violating them? How he corrupted the “oil for peace” UN officials and starved his nation’s children?

How he gassed his own people and how he violated the weapons agreements, rattled his sword and, we now know, planned to get back into the WMD business as soon as possible?

Did we cause Munich? The Rome Airport? The highjacked TWA flight? The 'Achille Lauro'? WTC in ’93? USS Cole? The attempt at blowing up LAX? The German nightclub? Pan Am 103? Was it our lack of a vigorish response to these attacks on the west that caused 9/11?

Monday morning quarterbacking is fine but it is always helpful to remember that the QB’s choices were limited and that maybe throwing a 60 yard interception was better than taking a sack on his own 20 yard line. At least in the first case the defense had a chance to make a play or two.

Now we have benched the football players in favor of letting the cheerleaders meet with the other side.

Based on Ft Hood, the underwear bomber and the Times Square attempt I would say that is not working out very well. Hopey changey has not imptressed the killers.

But at least we are being taught to apologize. Serfs and slaves do that a lot. I think the President wants us to get use to that.

The 9/11 Jumpers

I had flown into town the night before for a business meeting the next day. The meeting was not to start until around 10:30. I spent the night in a hotel that featured a free breakfast.

I wandered down for breakfast and noticed a room half full. Everyone was watching the big screen TV. At first I thought it was a movie and then I realized it was not.

The world changed before my eyes and before breakfast.

We never know what we will wake up to.

They began jumping not long after the first plane hit the North Tower, not long after the fire started. They kept jumping until the tower fell. They jumped through windows already broken and then, later, through windows they broke themselves. They jumped to escape the smoke and the fire; they jumped when the ceilings fell and the floors collapsed; they jumped just to breathe once more before they died. They jumped continually, from all four sides of the building, and from all floors above and around the building's fatal wound. They jumped from the offices of Marsh & McLennan, the insurance company; from the offices of Cantor Fitzgerald, the bond-trading company; from Windows on the World, the restaurant on the 106th and 107th floors -- the top. For more than an hour and a half, they streamed from the building, one after another, consecutively rather than en masse, as if each individual required the sight of another individual jumping before mustering the courage to jump himself or herself. One photograph, taken at a distance, shows people jumping in perfect sequence, like parachutists, forming an arc composed of three plummeting people, evenly spaced. Indeed, there were reports that some tried parachuting, before the force generated by their fall ripped the drapes, the tablecloths, the desperately gathered fabric, from their hands. They were all, obviously, very much alive on their way down, and their way down lasted an approximate count of ten seconds. They were all, obviously, not just killed when they landed but destroyed, in body though not, one prays, in soul. One hit a fireman on the ground and killed him; the fireman's body was anointed by Father Mychal Judge, whose own death, shortly thereafter, was embraced as an example of martyrdom after the photograph -- the redemptive tableau -- of firefighters carrying his body from the rubble made its way around the world.

From the beginning, the spectacle of doomed people jumping from the upper floors of the World Trade Center resisted redemption. They were called "jumpers" or "the jumpers," as though they represented a new lemminglike class. The trial that hundreds endured in the building and then in the air became its own kind of trial for the thousands watching them from the ground. No one ever got used to it; no one who saw it wished to see it again, although, of course, many saw it again. Each jumper, no matter how many there were, brought fresh horror, elicited shock, tested the spirit, struck a lasting blow. Those tumbling through the air remained, by all accounts, eerily silent; those on the ground screamed. It was the sight of the jumpers that prompted Rudy Giuliani to say to his police commissioner, "We're in uncharted waters now." It was the sight of the jumpers that prompted a woman to wail, "God! Save their souls! They're jumping! Oh, please God! Save their souls!

The problem is that too many have forgotten. We have tied ourselves into silly knots over rights for people that are waging war on us.

I am an old man. I worry for my country. I worry for my grandchildren.

New Slogans for the Left

Watching our so-called "elites" and "leaders," and unfortunately that includes some who I once thought were worthy.. I'll start and end my "use to be" list with O'Reilly...

I am always amazed at how the Left continually attacks Christians but never mention being threatened by radical Muslims.

Why, it was only days ago when the GZ mosque Imam told us it had better be done right or else......

I think all the Lefties need to buy prayer rugs.

Remember the "Better Red than dead" chant? Lefties need to find one that fits their surrender to the radical Muslims.

How about:

"I know you attacked us but you really didn't mean it."

"A day without a mosque at ground zero is like a day without a honor killing."

"Welcome to Surrender Country."

"Riot, Riot! Who's got the riot?"

"Riot me once, riot me twice, riot me once again."

"A little threat goes a long, long way."

"Freedom of religion. It's not for Christians and Jews!"

"Could you name a mosque after the Twin Towers for me?"

"Thanks for the choice. I was always a jumper and never a burner."

"Fry me to the ground!"

"Daddy is an ash but that's all in the past!"

"If I paint a target on my forehead....will that help?"

"The best river rocks are in the Smokies!"

I trust you get the idea!

An answer to Average Muslim's, "We don't hate you."

The following is an answer to a post on the “We don’t hate you” website. It is from a self-identified “Average Muslim.” The Average Muslim’s comments are in italics. My response is in plain text.

Dear America... We don't hate you, and we don't hate your way of life.

This is quick note to clear up some confusion. It seems like lately one cannot watch the news, or read a newspaper without reading about the threat of "the Islamist agenda".

In that case, give the GZ mosque Imam a call and tell him to quit pushing what millions of us see as a monument to the radical Muslims who killed 3000 or so Americans on 9/11 by killing the flight crews, hijacking airliners and flying them into the twin towers while screaming, “God is great!”

I mean it would be a help if your Imam would just shut up about it. We don’t want to be consoled, reached out to or patted on the head.

Got that?

I am a Muslim, and the big agenda on my mind today was if i should get my wife an iPhone or an iPad for her birthday.

Well, the big agenda for many today is where they will have the memorial service for Daddy on Saturday. I mean since his body was completely destroyed there was nothing to bury and little “Suzy,” who is 13 now, keeps having dreams that Daddy is still alive and burning.

Her screams wake her, and the rest of the family almost every night.

Lack of closure is a problem for many when a loved one dies.

It may be hard to believe when you follow the news, but consider this:

Today, hundreds of thousands more Muslim teenagers woke up worried about their teenage acne, than those who woke up pondering terrorism;

Today, hundreds of thousands more men woke up pondering if if Liverpool would ever win the Premiership again, than did woke up pondering "the downfall of the west";

Today, hundreds of thousands more muslims woke up and wanted the new iPhone 4, than did woke up wanting some sort of WMD.

We really are regular folk. We like walks on the beach, and pretty sunsets. We enjoy reading good books, drinking good coffee and the company of good friends. We hope that our kids graduate well, are well mannered and we sometimes don't call our moms back as soon as we should. Our moms feel proud when we do well, and they have hopes and dreams for us too. Our dads spend hours on the sports page and our kid sisters hit us up for money whenever they can.

For hundreds of years, we have been happily working side by side in society. We are builders, bankers, students, scientists, janitors, presidents and teachers. We still serve in militaries around the world and we are firemen and policemen and protect and serve. We sing the national anthems of our countries and blew Vuvuzelas when our countries played in the World Cup. We just happen to pray differently.

First of all, no. You have not been here, at least in any number that attracted attention, for hundreds of years. As a group you are a recent addition and as a group you have insisted on drawing attention to yourselves by demanding special facilities and rules at public schools, not transporting legal passengers in public transport and, among other things, dressing so that it would be impossible to identify you in case there was a crime involved. (I could continue but I won’t.)

And yes, you do pray differently. No problem there. But this stuff of demanding special prayer rooms at work and at airports, as well as the GZ mosque, bothers people.

The basis of all of these demands is your religious law, Sharia.

Look at it like this. We don’t have a bunch of Christians in Mecca demanding they be allowed to build a church.

In the meantime you demand tolerance.

Tolerance goes both ways. You want respect? Then give respect.

Sure we feel bad when cartoons insult our revered figures, but we feel even worse when it spurs violent (really un-Islamic) protests. There are more than a billion Muslims in the world today, and a veritable handful who react with violence. Surely you must see that this isn't representative of us all? We don't look at the Abu Ghraib fiasco and assume that all Americans torture people at the drop of a hat. Many of us still serve in the US Armed Forces!

Glad you mentioned Abu Ghraib. First, the US Army was in full investigation mode before it hit the New York Times. That’s how we do things. Secondly, can you name me Muslim people and/or organizations that is/are/were seriously looking for the killers of Daniel Pearl??

There is a small group amongst the Muslims who are violent extremists, and there are a small group of hawks who need a new bogeyman. Let's not let them define the world for the rest of us.

Well, in today’s connected world, define “small.” WMD’s are real. And the last person to use chemical weapons was Saddam.

Now we know that every Muslim is not a radical. I mean, in spite of the attacks/plots before and after 9/11 in the US and around the world, the FBI says the incidence of hate crime attacks against Muslim is the smallest of any group.

Have you considered that?

And have you considered that maybe it is time to quit yelling that we do things your way? I mean you came here, yet you appear to be determined to bring all of your past with you.

Why is that?

Did you come here to be an American or did you come here to find a better economy and to be allowed to do what you want to do, irrespective of what the rest of us think?

Our national motto is, “In God we trust,” and “Out of many, one.” You claim to believe the former but your actions show you don’t believe in the latter.

The sad truth is that a bunch of guys burning cars is always more newsworthy than a bunch of guys handing in their TPS reports, but trust me, the latter happens many more times per hour by guys like me all over the world, just going about our business.. just like you..

/Average Muslim.

The sad truth is that the so-called Moderate Muslims are letting this happen because they are not taking action. If the Muslim world actually condemns honor killings, let it stop them. If the Muslim world condemns stoning, let it stop the barbaric practice. If the Muslim world condemns lashings, beheadings, forced marriages, no schooling for females……let it stop them.

Let the Moderates step up and take control of their world. Stop the riots and killing when a cartoon is published. Quit the threatening and screaming “I’m insulted.”

In other words, when you have removed the mote from your eye, come back and see me.

An Average American

All week long I have heard about Nazi book burnings

Well, here is a radical Muslim book...and people... burning.

Muslims and progressives and insults and rights

The question is not whether or not burning Korans, or any book, is “smart.”

The question is whether or not our Florida preacher should be allowed to do it.

The answer is yes. It is wrong but it is his right.

The question is not whether or not Muslims will riot, threaten to riot and protest and claim they are “insulted.”

The question is should we care.

The answer is no.

The question is not whether or not the Koran burning will increase hatred against our troops.

The answer is yes.

Many in the Muslim world population, driven by the extremists among them, and much like the political correctness gurus within the US, are professional “insultees.”

And the Muslim extremists use this as a weapon against us.

The way to take that weapon away from them is to say, “We don’t care.”

Does anyone actually believe that forbidding the burning of Korans will stop the Taliban? Stop al-Qaida?

The answer is no.

And isn’t the question, why are we in Afghanistan and Iraq?

In Iraq it was thought that a well developed country had WMD’s. It was later determined they did not, or else they had hidden/shipped them someplace. But what was found was the will to reinstitute programs to develop nuclear weapons and chemical/biological. (Remember Saddam had rockets capable of delivery.)

We went through Iraq’s military almost without pause. But the mission was changed to “nation building.”

Have we been successful? The answer is still out but what we are seeing as Obama withdraws our troops is more violence. I would give the odds of a successful conclusion at 50-50.

In Afghanistan we had a country of tribes living at around the 10th century level outside the major cities and, perhaps, late 19th century in the major cities.

Having fallen under the control of the Taliban they harbored bin Ladin and allowed him, and al Qaida, to piece together an attack on 9/11.

We could discuss who was responsible for the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, etc., but we know they happened because of radical Muslims, so who cares what flavor?

So we went to Afghanistan to take down the Taliban and capture bin Ladin. We had fair success with the former but bin Ladin fled into Pakistan.

We reduced our efforts in Afghanistan while concentrating on Iraq but we are now back. Our glorious leader has told the Taliban we will be leaving next year and guess what.

The enemy sees victory in his grasp and is killing Americans to keep the pressure up. Vietnam redux.

I have never seen anything as stupid as Obama’s statement. He made it to satisfy his Leftie base and it is now killing US soldiers.

So the question of can we “nation build” in Afghanistan is already answered. We cannot. Obama surrendered when he said what he said.

Now we have an extremist Muslim using unknown financing and mouthing hateful statements about America claiming his right to build a mosque at ground zero. And the people who faint at the thought of a manger with a doll representing baby Jesus on a shopping mall’s parking lot and demand clerks be fired for wishing them “Merry Christmas” are shouting that they must be allowed to do so because they have religious freedom.

Now we have a preacher who wants to burn Korans.

And the same people who support the Muslim Imam attack the preacher.

That is hypocritical.

And the claim is that Muslims will riot and kill and our troops will be in danger. Some even go so far as to claim that we will be more in danger of attack within the US.

Folks, if you buy this excuse and condemn the preacher there is a word that describes what you have done.

Surrender.

You have been intimidated into accepting Sharia law which condemns burning the Koran.

Our military goes in harm’s way not to protect themselves, but to protect us and to insure that our rights are not infringed.

Is the preacher doing what he should not do? Yes.

Is the Ground Zero mosque builder doing what he should not do? Yes.

Two wrongs do not make a Right. And sometimes we have to decide which one is the lesser of two evils.

Your call, Folks.

The progressive Urban Partnership Bank... say who??

A few pages down I posted a long post on Shore Bank and its storied associations with the same old players.

Now Shore Bank has folded and we find that a "new" group of investors have rushed froward. The name? "Urban Partnership."

David Vitale, a former First Chicago Corp. senior executive, helped line up a group of investors that immediately bought $1.54 billion of ShoreBank's deposits, most of its $2.14 billion in assets and 15 branches from the FDIC. Other investors in Urban Partnership Bank include Goldman Sachs Group Inc., J. P. Morgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp., American Express Co., Harris N.A., State Farm Insurance Cos., Wells Fargo & Co., the Ford Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Mr. Vitale is now chairman of Urban Partnership Bank, which aims to continue ShoreBank's mission of three decades: lending to low-income urban neighborhoods.

A number of investors, including those who are currently backing Urban Partnership Bank, tried to bail out ShoreBank earlier this year. The move was heavily criticized by some politicians who claimed that President Barack Obama's ties to the Hyde Park-based ShoreBank encouraged Wall Street lenders to help bail it out.

Move along folks, nothing to see here. Move along, please.

And the check's in the mail, the Beamer's paid for, I will respect you in the morning.... and I'm from the Government and I'm here to help you.!
