Muslims sentence Christian woman to hang for blasphemy

PAKISTANI Muslims have threatened anarchy if the Government pardons a Christian mother sentenced to death for blasphemy, calling hundreds of protesters onto the streets.
Hundreds of Muslims marched in the eastern city of Lahore after the most influential Sunni Muslim alliance in Pakistan urged the Government not to grant mother-of-five Aasia Bibi clemency.

We will hold nationwide protests if the government pardons the Christian woman," the subsidiary's chief coordinator, Qari Yaqub, told participants.

Now, where are the moderate Muslims?? Where are the Muslims claiming to want to build an outreach building (and Mosque) at GZ??

Where is CAIR? Where is NOW? Where is Obama?????

We have caning of a 10 year old in Indonesia for eating rice and pork. We have attempts at honor killing in Toronto. We have women accused of infidelity executed in Afghanistan. We have young girls hung in Iran for causing a man to rape her.

Where is the international outrage and condemnation of such barbaric actions???

If the moderate Muslims want respect and acceptance into the western world, then they must act to prevent such things from happening.

The FBI did their job. The question is, how long can our security organizations continue to pitch a shut out.

Our strategy of relying on law enforcement ONLY is terribly flawed and will ultimately result in thousands of Americans killed.

At that point the wraith of the American public will be terrible to view. We must find another solution before that happens.

Bits and pieces

There are days when it is nice to not be a turkey.

Well, the rains have come after a terribly dry fall. Without moisture the leaves just turn brown and fall off. Maybe some trees have died. I won’t know until spring.

But it’s rain and more rain. The weather remains unseasonably warm and if this be Global Warming my old bones enjoy it and my finances look forward to lower utility bills.

The garden is completely bare. The candy plants, aka Okra, have been pulled up and piled in the forest along with the sunflower plants that are loaded with seeds. The tomato plants, which some old people called “Love Apples,” are tossed in a pile near where I tossed the many rotten tomatoes. I have never had such a poor crop. Too much rain followed by no rain produced a leggy plant with fruit that blistered and rotted on the vine.

Early spring will require much mulch and compost to be dug into the soil. It has too much clay and needs help in breathing.

The year has short and the politics have been unusual. The typical American has become politically aware and the middle aged and elderly are in the process of taking back control of the country. As it was proven during Vietnam the young are mostly ignorant and have again driven the country into the ground.

This was reflected again today with the news that a 63rd new Republican Congresscritter now exists. I hope that the Repubs understand they are being watched closer than a teenage boy being allowed to drive the family car for the first time.

But I doubt that they do. A few more primaries may get their attention, but perhaps not. Watching the old Repubs try to find reasons to not embrace the new direction doesn’t bode well.

After a summer of protests, blogosphere turbulence and cable news boxing matches, the developers at the proposed Park51 Islamic Center in Lower Manhattan seem to be ready for another round. And this time, they're taking it to the bank.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't,

Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor,

but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it,

and signed by a President who smokes,  with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes,

for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect,

by a government which has  already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

Obama goes down

Obama's job approval rating as calculated by the Zogby Poll has now sunk to 39%, a new low for his 22-month presidency that began with so much hope and excitement and poll numbers up around 70. As recently as Sept. 20, his job approval was 49%.

A whopping 60% now disapprove of his job, up from 51% disapproval Sept. 20.

Obama now trails in hypothetical 2012 matchups against Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and the next Bush, Jeb.

The American people have caught on to who and what this man is.

He came into office determined to destroy the country and make it an example of his revenge against the west that he believes wronged his father. That his father left his mother and him to forge for themselves seems to have escaped his memory.

Resume enhancement is a tried and true tactic among many boomer types.

Now we don't kinow for sure where he was born, or who paid for his around the world trip during college. We do know who his friends were......and who his preacher was.....

Okay, here goes. I was at a meeting tonight dealing with happenings in the academic world. I cannot use names, but an exceedingly well informed source told me that he was in discussion with a formerly high official of Columbia University, circa early 80s, and the subject turned to Barack Obama, class of '83. The Columbia man told this source, approximate quote, "Nothing at that time went through the Political Science Department without my knowing about it, and I never heard of Barack Obama."

Hmm. There was a poll taken of 450 members of the class of '83, and not one person polled remembered Obama. And, apparently, no faculty member recalls him.
